Every time I watch these Blackpoint "attempted haulouts", my eyes start to bleed. My wife is an integral part of our haul out process, never had a problem. The women with the guys in the videos, just stand there and watch, whether they are in the boat or on the dock. Simply amazing!

But these are MANLY men with their MANLY boats. If they need a woman's help, it might look like they're not as MANLY as they want everyone to think they are. (That was 100% sarcasm, BTW, so don't downvote thinking I'm serious.)

It's those giant rims with rubber bands for tires. They are to hard with little ground contact. The stock wheels are able to conform to the surface of the ramp and get more traction.
@elcajondavid1

I don't know why people don't deflate their tires to get more traction... If you can afford a boat, then you should be able to afford one of those cigarette lighter air pumps to inflate your tires after deflating them to get more traction.

One thing I used to do when taking my boat out, and I'm not sure if it's possible here with the way the lot is shaped but, I noticed many of these guys starting to pull out then they start turning to go down another part of the lot. I found if I just pulled out straight it was much easier to bring the boat out without slipping. Growing up in Chicago I also noticed that whenever I got stuck in the snow or ice. straight out is much better than trying to turn, that just creates a bit more resistance and spins the tires quicker.
@NBSV1
@NBSV1 3 жыл бұрын
Part of that is also with an open differential going straight helps have both wheels drive better. When you start turning the diff automatically starts slipping and tends to transfer power uneven. So, in low traction it often just makes one wheel spin and you get stuck. Ideally if only 2 wheel drive you want a good limited slip or a locker so you at least can get both wheels driving.

many people in comments are talking about the tires or the truck type. The answer is properly load your boat so there is weight on the trailer tongue. All 3 of them didnt have boat loaded completely . with the boat weight back it causes lift on the tongue thus lifting the rear suspension taking weight off the rear tires.

People do , but alot of people with more money than sense refuse help , I am speaking from experience . I have pulled people out of similar situation with my 96 4 cylinder ranger , alot of people don't understand weight distribution, also hp and torque do no good without traction

It's not a hp issue, you can not pull a 9k lb boat with a 7k lb truck and be successful. Most problems with trailering a boat come from a tow vehicle that is not up to the task.

The problem with long boats and trailers is they are still floating in the rear and it pulls the bow off the stop was it sinks onto the trailer in the rear.

2:57 its because he wants to have those rediculous Wheels and tires. Looks like crap and performs poorly. Its a ford, 250 wheel horse at best

Leave the soy boy tires at home when you're trying to trailer large loads like this boat. All that money and not enough cents to get a proper tow vehicle.

There seems to be a shortage of two things in Miami.....4x4 vehicles, and common sense.

Look, I appreciate the content. But this ramp is awful for filming. The camera is too far away, the ramps hide most of the action. It's so busy that sometimes you can't tell what's what. You could try filming from a boat. That could be fun and interesting. But if you are filming here instead of the other ramps, don't. I want Boyton and 75 back.

they just need more weight in the bed it really isnt that complicated, put sand bags in the bed or trunk or some steel rims w/tires.

With those large heavy boats it's insanity not to tow it with a 4x4 of rated capacity.
