A lot of it has to do w/ Dallas game plan to double team every time Curry got the ball. Boston might not have to do it every single possessions since they have much better personnel defensively and faster rotation as a team on all-switch. Just can't wait to see how the two coaching staff battle in this final chess match. (All being said Boston better wins against this injured Miami team)

It's all about the gravity of Steph that make him one of the greatest to ever do it. Not every player are like him who is able to suck most of the defenders that makes his teammates involved on the offense. Very happy for Wiggins to see him improve and accept his role. The most underrated thing about the Warriors is their defense, and defense wins championships. Steve Kerr is an absolute genius for leading this team throughout.

Exactly Wiggins wore him down, so Wiggs could push him on the offensive side, I saw folks talk about how Luka was killing them, but in GM 5 we saw how tired he was and exhausted. Iggy did the same thing in 2015 against Lebron, they wore him down led to Iggy getting open 3's, by GM 6 was tired. And Curry definitely has been using his gravity a lot more recently.

I love how the warriors now hunt for mismatches through their motion; during their kd era, they used to just stop moving to allow kd to iso a mismatch in the post, but it seems now they'll just run actions where the worst defender is on the tail end and forced to guard (like luka forced to protect the rim), making it much harder to guard. Wiggins going at Luka instead of just being a luka stopper reminds me of when gilbert arenas was criticizing the lakers because frank vogel was trotting out no-offense all-defense lineups; you want lineups that will work the opposing star players on defense and not allow them to rest, which can help make them fatigued and less efficient on offense. Wiggins didn't need to be the #1 option on offense vs luka; he just needed to put in a couple of points here and there and not allow luka to rest on that end.

Wiggins on defense has been a beauty, so happy his potential on that side of the ball is getting shown in golden state. So athletic and has been the warriors second best player. It’s actually amazing hm he’s come from with playing with the dubs. He was always a better version of Barnes and a lesser version of kd with better on ball defense. I love seeing this from Wiggins. He’s using his athletic ability more with his leaping and lateral speed on switches. It should be talked about hm the mavs tried to switch Wiggins off on the switch and Wiggins went over the screen. It’s truly amazing what a player can be if they are developed properly.

Luka needs to get in shape . His defense can be improved easily if he improves his body during the offseason . He was by far the worst 1 on 1 defender I've seen in this playoffs . And he's 6ft8 . Real problem is that no matter how much of an elite defensive player he becomes, he will be worn down because he is a main attacking option. @@gaspi91 the answer to this problem is ,either built a team full of lengthy wings around him that can shoot , pass and defend OR you get him another legit star that can create his own shot and play luka off ball for a few possessions. Either way, he needs to be decent on the defensive end , in order for his team to succeed . If I was him , I would prioritize contesting that 3 instead of taking 30 shots per game......

The Warriors career and reputation rehabilitation program is definitely doing good business this year. Picked-up GPII and turned him into a mini 2-way demon; Wiggs is now engaged as a player and is a first time All-Star. The rookies are not simmering on the bench brooding, they are actually playing in important games. It says a lot about an organisation top to bottom, all about the development, and less about drama.

Wiggins vs Tatum and Thompson vs Brown are the key matchups for the NBA finals in my opinion. Also Smart vs Curry. I don't know how Dallas won against Phoenix Suns, maybe because Chris Paul is a disgrace in playoffs.

This video shows how good coaching, system and fit benefit a player like Andrew Wiggins. In past he had to waste energy on ball handling and play making. But in warriors' system he can be a extremely effective scorer and defender. Rather than iso he can use Steph's gravity and catch&shoot, hitting an eFG of 60.9%. His wingspan and vertical makes him an excellent finisher, shooting 59.7% for shots less than 10ft. Putbacks and dunks make so much sense and are exactly the shots for him to take.

It definitely helps when you have teammates who can finish at the rim or consistently knock down open shots. Pretty sure if LD had same supporting cast he would get it done as well. Probably 20+ blowout every game

DFS, Bullock, Brunson and Dinwiddie all shot over 40% on 3s this series, and the Mavericks minus Luka shot 38% as a team. This is well above league average and their own average as a team this year (both 35%). And the reason the warriors finish so well at the rim is because they’re often wide open, which is due to their system and Curry’s gravity. Luka wouldn’t work in the Warrior’s system because he’s too ball dominant.

How we all easily forget that all eyes are on Steph even though there are maybe 1-2 bodies on him. (sometimes 3 or 4) I have been so happy for Wiggins. After the break, he was horrible, but he brought out his talents and his potential during the playoffs trying to shed his reputation that he had on the T-Wolves. Its all due to the culture of the Warriors to bring out the best out of the players they have.

It's ironic they bought in Dejan Milojevic to develop Wiseman and he may or may not have turned out to be a bust of a pick. But the Serb whisperer has clearly had an influence on Looney. He has never been this capable finishing around the rim since coming into the league.
