Can't believe I've been following this man for 8 months for his Star Rail adventures, and now he's finally reached the peak of Penacony, and what's more impressive was being able to avoid so much spoilers. I give full praise to Mage for not being curious enough to look stuff up and for this community for not running their mouths about the story. Now that we can freely talk about it, many have speculated Firefly is Sam with many hints, and some even knew it threw a children's storybook called "Sam and The Firefly"

English localization borked a very major hint for this. Back in 2.0, when Gallagher says that the stowaway they're looking for is a silver haired guy, it's supposed to be just silver guy, which obviously points at SAM. And when later, on the roof, Firefly admits that she is the stowaway, you might connect the dots.

Fun bit of Firefly trivia: It was a joke in the fandom that since the way she talks as SAM is very different from her normal demeanor that she spends time practicing all of her "SAM lines" in front of a mirror. This was later made canon in the 2.3 Livestream which previewed her character and kit, saying that Silver Wolf comes up with the lines using Blade's natural edginess as inspiration (though Firefly says that makes it 'sound a little too professional' for them). So enjoy that gap moe mental image of Firefly making poses in front of a mirror practicing shouting "I shall set the seas ablaze!"

I'm really glad you rambled, that helps me a lot too so I totally get you. Penacony's story is both obtuse and very transparent. Once you have all the pieces the puzzle makes perfect sense, but until you get there it becomes more and more confusing. You still have a lot of Penacony to experience and I hope you keep having fun :D

One interesting outcome of Firefly's real identity that the game doesn't bother to mention, but that makes perfect sense is the fact that main character and her actually have a history, since our character used to be with Stellaron Hunters, the longest standing member after Kafka herself in fact. We just don't remember it because our memory got wiped before the game starts. That would explain why right from the start Firefly was treating you like someone who's very close to her. Hell, maybe that little date they had in 2.0 wasn't even their first.

What you did say at the start of the video is pretty much accurate and in line with the plot. Of course you don't know certain important details but you will discover them by playing 2.2 so don't worry about that. About the light cone "Boundless Choreo", it is pretty much a cheap version of Acheron signature light cone (so i don't suggest to use it on her because her signature is way better). It could be very good with Welt but i am pretty sure "Good nigh and sleep well" (the one you have on Welt at the moment) is better then it at higher superimposition level. I don't know which light cone you have on Kafka but giving her "Good night and sleep well" while giving Welt "Boundless choreo" could be a good strategy overall!

That one is good for a Crit build Acheron. 39:39 I don't know why but the way they framed the characters makes it look like Welt is giving his blessings to Trailblazer and Firefly, and yes I am highly delusional with that headcanon.

I really hope you stream your reaction to her trailers / background story clips; they're all really good! The story of Firefly's planet was dripped in some earlier item descriptions; it's a shame we don't get to see it ingame. Dreamflux is part of the raw dream, but it's still shaped by the people in it -- originally, Penacony's Dream arose organically from the prisoners' shared subconscious interacting with the natural Memoria in the environment. In the 'Official' Family Dreamscape, however, only designated Family builders can create or shape it; it's tightly regulated.

I love dreamflux reef bgm and atmosphere is so haunting and beautifull! As for Firefly and SAM when you were in a mood of watching more hsr trailers, there is about 3 for Firefly that explains better how she works! And also great job Mage on figure out stuff with the information you have!

Love your content Mage! also....about Aventurine: he accomplished 3 things, The first one is getting "unlived" by Acheron which helps the IPC approach Penacony and asks for answers about his delegate, creating leverage, since his "death" was so big and magnificent it is not something The Family can sweep under the carpet as all the others, second, with the help of Acheron's blade he destroyed the "barrier" in the Golden Hour, according of what they said that made possible the travel from the Golden Hour to Dreamflux Reef, which I assume was impossible before, especially because all the "deaths" happened in the Hotel inside the dream which was already weakened that was the reason it was "under repairs" and third... well Aventurine arrived to that other section of the dream the one with the black hole which I honestly I still don't know what the deal with that is BUT that is why I am watching you play xD It is giving me the details I missed the first time! So thank you! Hope this information finds you well and please keep going don't make me starve too much hehe

This is an aside - but I love that we got to see a conversation between Firefly and Blade. In future I would like to see more of it, because they are very interesting parallels to each other - the one who seeks living and the other who seeks death (this is not a spoiler whatsoever, purely just leveraging information that we already know about each of them).

Not really. Welt needs crit and Boundless Choreo provides rate and damage (a lot if superimposed). It's the one I use on him.

Boundless choreo is basically just a f2p alternative to Acheron's signature light cone at the moment. It's okay on Welt but other than those two no other nihility character cares about crit stats enough to use it

Yes, she mentioned a medical cabin when she was at her hideout which I'm not sure if you missed going back there for other reaction or not. She is coming back second half next patch. I just wish the videos were a bit longer, then you could do more of the other quests, and eventually maybe return to ZZZ??? I hated so much how it was spoiled in the spanish subtitles... we don't have gender neutral nouns, so when SAM said "I'm the sellaron hunter" it translated to "soy la cazadora...". The "la" refering to SAM being a female. After that, it was pretty obvious... 😅
