Its going to be priced way to high and you wont see many just like the zr1. I still think people will still chase after the 10-14 GT500 as they are still "affordable". I do think after time they'll rise in price since they'll be sought after for the 6spd.

Dealers will cave once they’ve got them sitting on the lots for a few months. This is what’s happening to the Bullitt in my home state. Local dealer has them sitting for over 3 months now with a big clearance sticker on them but......still the 10k markup. Dealers will kill this car.

Months lol you nean years...my buddy waited 2 years the get is gt350r down to the price he wanted...the car literally sat on the dealer floor for that long due to dealer mark up being over 100k. He finally got the call to come pick up the car for 75k lol..stealers ships are a joke...oh by the way the motor blow 3 months later due to the typical oiling issues. Ford also refused to give him another car and he is still fighting with them.

So at MSRP this car is amazing for what you get! Its truly supercar performance at a Ford price, that's what Ford wanted and IMHO they completely exceeded that!!! And all these people saying well it doesn't make more power than the Redeye, people are to hung up on HP numbers, whats more important is how it puts the power down like drivetrain loss the DCT is super fast! Guys come on this car 74 grand and makes more HP than Maclaren 720S and has DCT!

Dealer markups/addendums will be in the $30,000 range, on average. The realistic range would probably be $20,000 to even $50,000, as advertised, market dependent. But if anyone is a serious buyer, ignore the addendums and then after you run credit and start talking about down payments, then you can, usually, get the listed addendum down.

It is a beautiful car but no manual , and $90,000 , no thanks it's just not for me . I hate to say this , but if I was spending that kind of money, I'd spend a bit more and buy a Porsche gt3 .

Your analysis is dead on, the track package excessively expensive but it is the King. This very well could be a ZR1 killer lol. It does protect the value of your GT350 and the older GT500s. I bought a 2015 Camaro Z28, for $46k, MSRP was $75k, eventually the price will come down. I would rather have the GT500 but I couldnt pass up the price of the Z28.

It's not over price. People have to understand what cars are going to. The American car competition is more than just other American cars. They beat cars 2x there price. This gt500 will sale like hot cakes. The hellcat red-eye can get up too 100k. It's not Ford fault for the dealership. If you want this car for what it worth order it.....simple.

How.... A ZR1 isn't that much more and it's faster in a straight line and the mustang wouldn't keep up on the track. Plus one is a mustang and the other is a corvette. The Vette has more power and is lighter. That is much better bang for your buck imo. Hell a C7 Z06 is most certainly a faster track car and most likely just as fast in a straight line. (High 10s car). So I disagree.

They keep fucking with the front of the car, I pre ordered and bought a 2015 GT as soon as I saw the redesign, but it's gotten considerably more busy and ugly ever since. A lot of people didn't and still don't like the redesign, they said it looks too European and not American muscle, well the GT500 in my opinion takes it to a whole new level, it looks like a ricer with a hideous body kit thrown on.

The price seems fair. I don't remember people going crazy over the gt350/r pricing; only the markups. In the Michigan area the standard markup is $5k and you can usually get that down to $3k. There will be a lot of places with crazy markups but simply don't pay them lol. A lot of the extra will probably be included in the price of the car next year plus all of the problems will be fixed lol.

Why didn't people complain about the 19 Roush RS3 Mustang its 79-80 grand fully loaded and not even half the car as a GT500 is! Pretty much Roush stage 3 is a GT with bolt ons, GT500 has all forged hand built motor with TVS2650 supercharger with 9.5.1 compression which means it can handle a lot of boost and stay together! Ford says its around 12 psi of boost so they left a lot of room on the table, that 2650TVS 20-25 psi isn't nothing! This car with a pulley,Tune, longtubes and E85 will make damn near 1,000HP no problem

I just bought a GT350, the dealer is a family friend and he told me they had already sold their 2020 GT500 allocation for $28k above MSRP. He said the total on that particular order was $118k.

QuickShift13 first off, congrats on the GT350! You’re going to absolutely love it. For the GT500, that’s exactly what I’m worried about with insane mark ups like that. Not for me, but for Ford enthusiasts that really want the car. It felt like a slap in the face when I couldn’t get a GT350R having owned so many Ford vehicles. At the end of the day it’s a business and I guess that’s what they think is best for business.

I think the price point for a base model is really damn good all things considered.. I mean, more power than a Hellcat, about the same price, less weight and a dual clutch instead of a torque converter auto.. Some of the options though seem ridiculous and the dealer mark up is going to be insane so at the end of the day, I don't think it's going to make sense for the enthusiast.. this will be more of a collector car. I don't even think this thing will appeal to rich guys who aren't car guys or particularly fond of Ford Mustangs.. they'd probably prefer a Porsche, a BMW M or an AMG for around the $100k price tag that the adm would add. Hell I'm a fan of Mustangs, but if I could afford a $100k Mustang I'd probably rather get a V10 R8 instead Lol.

I have been on waiting list for over a year at a dealership . Went last week when order banks open to place an order for the GT 500 only to find out your dealership has to have a gold ticket from Ford to be able to order track pack which they did not have. The price of a standard model with a few options was $81,000 + a $5000 adm = $86,000 for a car not equipped the way I wanted. Walked out of dealership without ordering. What the hell is Ford doing, a gold ticket, really. Sounds like something from Willy Wanka !

Why are people saying it’s high. Make a list of its competitors and at 70k base it slots right in if not a bargain. Yes the track pack is high but includes exposed carbon fiber wheels. I've said all along that Ford was too slow to release the GT500 and the price, especially with ADM's will be far too high. Only people with cash to burn will buy them and in turn will ruin the average price for the remainder. I personally wouldn't pay it ... cool car, but like the 350R far more.

I agree that for $100k, despite it being a track monster, the dash and other panels should be upgraded to nicer materials. It’s in a much higher price bracket now and with that comes higher expectations.

Jeff Ashton exactly. If it was $60k then I’m fine with that interior. Above that though, it needs to be upgraded period. Stop using a regular Mustang GT interior. Stop swapping in alcantera in a few spots just to make it seem “fancier” “cooler” and “racier”. An European car is massively nicer at $50k, there should be no reason to have cheap crap inside an almost $100k car.

Todays pony cars are no longer for affordable to the majority of average car enthusiast! With that said todays pony cars are still the performance bargain when compared to the uber expensive exotic cars. That was the point of driving a muscle car! Today if you want something to compete you'll have to buy the top shelf models which usually starts at the $50k+ mark. And no I'm not gonna buy 2020 Shelby above or even at MSRP. I'll let the high rollers take the depreciation hit and hopefully one day find a sano garage queen.

I'm by no means a Mustang hater, owned 4, 3 Gt's and a Cobra. This car is s shame, this is not a damn Ford GT they need to go back to the SVT days and drop the Shelby name, just make another SVT Cobra with unlimited production numbers, just let people order them. Limited production numbers should be for something like the Ford Gt. I love this GT500 but it's a disgrace to what mustang used to be, it's a car for rich people which every Cobra in the past was not, and it's not even offered in manual. Shame Ford.
