Funny thing about slogans, definitely want to look at who benefits in the end. A pretty decent example I think is rebranding estate tax as death tax. Extremely few people will ever have inheritance subject to estate tax, but overwhelming vast majority of Americans will very much be subject to having to relinquish vast majority of the assets if they ever have to go to a nursing home. The almost death tax, or last stop before death tax doesn't have quite the same catch, but Google "applying for Medicaid for nursing home". Something like 95%+ of mom or dads assests will be FORFEITED/SPENT to pay for nursing home. Now, how often do politicians on left or right talk about THAT? 🤔

While we have our flaws id invite anybody from the right or left to take a trip to a multitude of the countries we're criticizing the government a one-way trip to prison. @@dapperdan7229 meh, I've been to some of those countries, they're fine in many ways better quality of life for the average person, in others ways not. It's not that dissimilar in the US. For instance if you're black you can be effectively executed in the streets by the State - a police force that serves as judge jury and executioner. If you're a journalist the government doesn't like such as Assange, your life will be made hell pushed to the verge of death. If you're a Saudi dissedent you might get chopped up, if you're an journalist reporting US activities in Israel's genocide, you might get blown up. Etc etc It really depends on your perspective. I find it best to steer clear of lazy tropes and stereotypes of one country or another.

Correct me if I'm wrong but not even the most anti-abortion advocate would deny an abortion if the mother's life is at risk.
