Dr. Li ~ I've been watching your videos for several weeks now and am gradually applying what I've learned from you. Healthy habits are difficult for bad-eating-habit people to incorporate. BUT....since I've made some changes, I have been feeling better and have even lost a couple of pounds (so far)! I've created a spreadsheet of what to eat/drink, the frequency, and the benefit! I've added your book Eat to Beat Disease to my Amazon wish list for Christmas!! I hope you know just how much you're appreciated by these thousands of subscribers and what a difference you are making in our lives! God bless you and thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience with us!!!

Well, Dr. Li, since the warning you gave about plastic water bottles, I realized I have a stainless steel Hydro-Flask, designed to keep liquids at the same temp for a long time. I have potable tap water which I've been refilling my plastic bottles with. Tonight I've got 24 oz cold tap water in this flask. I hope this is a healthier alternative.

So what can we do to decrease the amount of plastic in our drinking water. Thank you your valuable information. I thank you

Would you please clarify drinking water and keeping electrolytes balanced? Some claim that drinking plain water actually will dehydrate you cause it lacks minerals that throw off the electrolyte balance. They recommend adding salt to water to give them those electrolytes. Some say that salt is counterproductive cause it will draw more water away from the body. So which one is it? Thanks
@SimplySandra413Ай бұрын
Thank you for your wisdom! Water is so valuable. For me I notice it most with reducing or stopping my heart palpitations, lowering blood pressure, my skin, my water retention and my weight. Water is literally life! ❤ I watched my momma struggle to recover from stroke because of her water intake (among other things) but water is sooo important to so many functions in the body (like bowels and blood volume etc) and also for her neurons to regenerate from her stroke. My momma made it 15 months but if I could have forced her to drink her water, I would’ve so that she would have recovered (or at least had a better chance) and have had an easier journey. 😢 so basically watch your elderly!! It’s one thing if they refuse to help themselves but it’s another if they don’t even know they are starving their body of water!

I have been using a Soda Stream for many years. For a very long time I have been making my own sodas and when I sweeten them I use liquid Stevia. And just plain carbonized water will drop one's water ph 2 points towards acidity, so I frequently use clean baking soda to bring the ph up to at least 6.8 and up to 7.2. Coffee is also very acidic and hello baking soda.

Coffee can be dehydrating so keep that in mind, and as long as the tea is unsweetened it won't stress your kidneys and tea is a great source of polyphenols. I say it can count towards your daily water intake, but don't neglect just drinking water on it's own.

Like most people, you are probably low on potassium. Get come potassium chloride and add it to your salt dispenser. Sugar also bonds to 6 water molecules so lower your blood glucose. Consequently your insulin may be high -- eat a low carb diet or you'll wind up w diabetes/hypertension/cardiovascular-disease/metabolic-syndrome/cancer/premature-death. [Ya, they have the same root cause - hyperglycemia.
