I can never thank these men enough for what they did. Scott Wickland was my first manager when I got into private security in 2019 and he would've died that day if they hadn't shown up when they did. I only talked to Scott a handful of times because he wasn't really open to talking about it, but he told me to watch 13 Hours because it portrayed what happened really well. He said he would've stayed a security contractor if he could pick where he was going to be stationed but he quit the day they told him he was going back to Africa.

Maritime pays well, but if you are looking for contracts similar to what the GRS offers, you will need some type of special operations experience in the military or federal/state LE tactical unit experience. These kind of contracts do require some form of combat experience as well (dependent on contract), so I would look into enlisting in the military first and foremost, then look into some type of special forces or special operations unit. First, thank you Tanto for the courage and resilience you and your team each gave on that fateful night Which I hope the film was able to capture and embody the very spirit of patriotism and selflessness that your entire team of brothers. As a survivor of that night, your actions in the face of danger in both the rescue attempt and defensive stance in my opinion were nothing short of heroic. I felt the film did an excellent job capturing each one of the men having such a dedication to duty and an unwavering commitment to protecting others that will only serve as an inspiration to all those who watch or read the book. I also hope that in the aftermath we as a nation did not drop the ball again but made sure to honor the sacrifices you and your team made, so you and the others knew we as a nation were and still are deeply grateful for your service as a solider and contractor. The display of bravery in those 13 hrs in the midst of chaos is a accurate example of the true meaning of patriotism-putting oneself on the line for the safety and well-being of others. I commend each one of you for the incredible strength and determination in the face of adversity are a testament to the indomitable spirit for your fellow brother in arms and this nation. Thank you for your courage, your sacrifice, and your unwavering dedication to defending our country and its values as a Army Ranger, Army National Guard and obviously a CIA security contractor having Uncle Sam's back. Each member of that night are a true American hero, and the big 🇺🇸🖕your team handed out to each threat in Zombie land will never be forgotten, Since I have the book, blue ray disc and digital format. the presence of Jack, Rone, Tanto, and Boon played a crucial role in mitigating the severity of the attack, symbolizing resilience in the face of adversity. The events surrounding that night, were complex, and it's important to recognize the depth of the situation beyond a simple narrative of tragedy and heroism. I truly hope that leaders at the time comprehended the need to delve into geopolitical complexities, bureaucratic challenges, and the human toll of violence to improve future safety measures. It's essential that we honor the memory of those lost and prevent similar incidents by continually learning from those past mistakes and continually reassessing security protocols so each one of the men and women watching Uncle Sam's best interest, That request or assistance for help will come when asked. I believe Michael Bay effectively captures the facts of that night and the unfortunate result of Clinton dropping the ball again. I don't apologize if my comment offends those who believe then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton reacted promptly and appropriately; when she hadn't. that wasn't my intention. However, I suggest you pansies definitely consider the fact that Hillary has a history of being one who drops the ball often, for example, the 30+k in emails and As a first lady when she failed to keep her husband and then US President happy, as a result Monica Lewinsky was shot As she went above and beyond what was expected as an Whitehouse intern and patriotic duties. The point is when Hillary Clinton drops the ball, it's not good news.

QRF (quick reaction force) is a basic part of standard US military doctrine and battle unit construction. Fighter jets could have made it to Benghazi in a little over an hour from Italy to help save US citizens under attack in a battle that lasted 13 hours. The QRF fighter jets were ready to go, but the order to launch was never issued, which means help never arrived. Sort of the opposite of "quick" in the QRF doctrine. The US government lied about Benghazi being a protest over a video on KZbin rather than a terror attack on the anniversary of 9-11, which we had advance warning of an impending attack. Next the US government forced the US military to lie and say that there was no way to support the Benghazi staff in time i.e. arrive soon enough to help. Help never arrives it never leaves the base...the order to go should have been given and if they arrive in time to help, then the bad guys pay the price. If they arrive too late, then the help had no impact on the battle, but we know we did our very best to support our people. TOTALLY CORRUPT GOVERNMENT. Politicians lied and others died...

Our government can never be trusted. Our government should also be held accountable for the decisions they make that create dire consequences. I am a veteran and I deeply appreciate Mr. Peronto, i hope i spelled that correctly- your service and that of your team members service to our great nation. It’s a shame how certain leaders in our government have no shame and alway find a way to cause others to lose their lives a lot of times, very needlessly. God bless you sir. Thank you for your service to America.

11:40 this was probably my favorite part of the movie which, by the sound of it they did a pretty damn good job of re-enacting. I consider it my favorite part because it drew a *very* deep emotional connection out of me. I know that feeling all-too-well. That final moment, the moment where the Grim Reaper and Salvation are one in the same for just a brief moment. The moment where no better word than simply "exhausted" can describe. A moment where you don't want to die, but you're so tired you accept and almost welcome for it to be over. I cried *hard* during that scene because it brought me back to a similar time, and in that moment, I felt connected to not only the actor, but you yourself. No doubt your hell was worse than mine that day, but still a moment I wish no person will ever have to experience. You and your team's strength and courage were otherworldly that day, no words can describe the admiration and respect I have for you all.

These men are heroes, that almost goes without saying. And what made them even more so was coming forward against a government that hung them out to dry that night, to tell the story of what REALLY happened. It's typical government bureaucracy - anyone who sticks their neck out to tell the truth gets it chopped off, no matter how loyal you were through the event. Klinton and her ilk should rot in hell for all the crimes they've committed over the years, and especially for this. She will have her judgment day, and it can't come soon enough. Anyway, thank you, Tonto, you and your team, for what you did that night.

I have watched your movie over a dozen times, and it still rocks me to my core. Things like this happen when we have weak, feckless, leaders. Hilary Clinton could not have cared less, nor her superiors, The President and Vice President. The President could not be found while this entire thing was happening. We still do not know to this day, where he was and what had his time occupied. So much for that call at three in the morning. How is it we had a drone overhead and it wasn't armed. I will never believe that it was unarmed. How easy we could have had a couple of F-18s screaming overhead. The CIA bosses on site without enough courage to just give the order to get over there ASAP, hesitation cost many lives. The first time in modern history that the US lost the life of an Ambassador. Our Ambassadors represent our President. How foolish of Ambassador Stevens to have trusted his welfare to the likes of that President, VP, and Secretary of State. Now we are observing first hand the foolishness of Joe Biden and his carry over cabinet from BO in Ukraine and now Israel. Thank You Kris and team for shining the light of truth on what happened, our nation is forever indebted to men and women like you and the secret soldiers of Benghazi.
@glenroyce77910 ай бұрын
They could have cared less?? Why? How? Let's stop being middle school students and back up our opinions with examples/facts, please....while I have no doubt politics left our military members in limbo, as this story shows, I am tired of people only attacking one side of the (congressional) aisle or the other...let's stop being infantile in thinking that if the 'other party' were in power, they would not sacrifice the members of our military, sacrifice so much for our nation, simply for their own political careers....
@WIBRTyranT10 ай бұрын
@@glenroyce779 it's not that "the other side" could do it as well, it's that THAT particular administration and certain individuals CHOSE to not do anything to help them. there's a difference between theory and practice. we can theorize all we want who could do what, but we KNOW what they did, and THAT makes them pieces of shit, regardless of party. so yes, hilary and crew couldn't have given two shits and showed it by not only not lifting a finger, but trying to bury the whole incident and then getting rid of the guys that survived to try to make them seem less believable. difficult to defend that kind of shit when it actually happens and isn't just a "what if" scenario in our heads.
