Honestly trusting the process is so hard sometimes, but you're right, when you push through it??? Masterpiece! I've amazed myself a few times.

I think that when a drawing is perfect from the get go, there is nothing to improve but the drawing still is not it. Than you are focusing on each part like the eyes, nose, mouth, ears, etc. and you don’t know what to do since it is already “perfect”. That’s why I am trying to draw more loosely and trust the process ❤️

I used to draw during tests in highschool, and a bit during unievrsity too. It was a precise stategy to help my focus and attention: first I used to finish the first draft of the translation of the Greek/Latin text, or I solved all the mathematical problems, or I answered all the questions of whatever subject. Secondly, I uset to decide a very small amount of time (between 5 and 20 minutes depending on how long the whole test was and how much time was left) for drawing whatever I wanted and enjoying it. Finally, after the time for drawing was out, I felt more fresh and relaxed, and I could focus better on verifying all the answers/operations/text in my test and spot more mistakes and fix them. And my teachers never complained.

@@thatrabbit09 Ok, good luck! Just make sure you don't spend too much time drawing, and still have the time you need for checking your test. Otherwise yes it might become risky. Just keep an eye on the watch/clock and it should be ok

As a kid i was always drawing and it only progressed over time. By my early 20's i had an art style that alot of my friends and followers could recognize. During covid i got interested in digital art and was using my tiny samsung phone to draw with!!! 😂 later was able to save up for a drawing pad and later a nice tablet. I make zero money off of my art but i know the process will take me somewhere. ❤ to my fellow artists... KEEP GOING! dont give up!

Just started to get into digital painting, will be getting my ipad this weekend hopefully. learnt alot from you already, cant believe how ugly things look before they look pretty, never thought about it like that before, now I dont feel bad about not being able to create a masterpiece in one go :) will watch all you videos, will probably get ur brushes too, since i dont have any yet :) Just wish i knew how to use them, you should make some videos showing how to use your brushes. Honestly the reason why a lot of people don't improve is because they keep doing the same type of drawing with the same medium if you don't experiment with different types you'll stunt your artistic skills

I got the problem when it comes to colouring- I got a pretty lineart, and when I try to colour it up , I end up swearing to myself bcos it looks bad. The lineart: pretty , the lineart with the colours: 💩

I've been drawing for 17 years and never have improved geneuinly think it's cuz of my dyscalculia. I am fine with bad art so it's not that. My problem is the opposite..I'm too open minded I'm too open to mistakes and it causes me to miss details and my ocd won't let me erase anything either

I find this with painting landscapes and anything more complicated than cell shading. It's ugly and I don't know or can imagine the steps I need to take to make it look good. I add something and I don't really know whether that is what I should be doing or not.

A good thing you can do is like I said- turn of the art brain and just compare it with the reference, and if everything Cheka out so far try to continue and you should see everything coming together slowly, and the old thing you didn’t like can end up fitting in like a perfect puzzel piece
