Cheers Mate. Be patient with your load development and testing, though the HOWA rifles can be a bit forgiving. Make sure everything is clean and toured down to spec, and you’ll be right. 22-250 is an awesome caliber once you get it going.

Abou5 to do the same mod to the stock of my new howa, I also stiffen the howa forend and bed the action. I have used jb weld in the past, but now use pc-7 from bunnings I grind away the ribs, and use a piece of aluminium as a stiffener wit the pc-7, it stops the for end flexing

@@hprefol2440 I’ve stiffened up forends using fibreglass resin in the past, and that works. I’ve also filled the void in the plastic stick with gap filler.

Whats wrong with red thread locker? Just curious.

The red is high strength; it sets super strong. Once it’s on, the only way you can crack it is to heat it up. The blue 243 in medium strength; it’s is sufficient for doing guns, but you can crack it with normal hand tools, albeit with some effort.
