I’m with him. Even without catastrophic damage to the universe, his actions would have essentially erased the current universe and replace it with another
@niceguy602 жыл бұрын
Nah times is immutable, his actions would be predestined to occur. He would be merely a expected cog in the inner workings of a parallel universe. In fact in a parallel universe to the one in this story he actually succeeded with his plan.

They should make an SCP movie and have the Volgun as the a major art in it...
@joegillespie41806 жыл бұрын
Imagine him as the doctor that "helps" the main character who gets infected or locked in a room with a dangerous SCP and is forced to die while Volgun watches and cries Then all of that is a presentation he is showing to a class of foundation members as so they know what they're dealing with on a daily basis And the entire thing is the second year Volgun was at the foundation showing how traumatic the entire SCP situation is to people
@joegillespie41806 жыл бұрын
We gotta crowd fund that movie and have him as the side or the main character in the movie

The people in the recording aren't part of the Foundation. This audio's from a recording from the future.
@bbluva204 жыл бұрын
If I understand correctly, the recording abruptly ends because that where time ends. All of time. It ends when the recording stops because the paradox that was created by the other doctor, Dr. Snow finally reached where the interview was taking place, and presumably spread throughout all of space time. Imagine a pebble being dropped into a pond, the ripples spreading outward from the center. Now imagine the pond is time, and the pebble was the now deceased Dr. Snow. The paradox started out small, slowly spreading, then exponentially increasing from it's point of origin. It must have been only a few hours since Dr. Snow was killed and went through the wormhole, and the interview taking place relatively close by. From there and then the paradox destroyed all of space-time. Really good voice work from teejtalks, and of course the Volgun. This one really frightened me, surprised I never heard it before. The tale it comes from isn't very popular either, but if it was re-edited to include this as the soundfile, I'd think it'd become very popular.

Description: SCP-███ is a small rectangular device, approximately 4 x 2 x 0.5 cm. It appears to be a storage device of some kind, similar to a modern-day memory card, but much more advanced - our engineers have estimated its storage capacity to be approximately 200 terabytes. Based on the available data, we believe the device to have been constructed in or around the year 2074.
@TrueJRR10 жыл бұрын
If anyone does not understand why it stopped... here is the explanation, So when Dr.Snow's Body fell through the wormhole it created a paradox!
@KazmirRunik7 жыл бұрын
It stopped because that was the end of the recording.. They record until the interrogation is over so they can put it on file. It was over once he explained why and how he killed Snow.
@DrJReefer6 жыл бұрын

Actually, if you read the document, it's a transcript that they were able to retrieve. it's not the whole interview, which is why it starts mid-sentence.

This is rather unrealstic. The wrapping of space required for a wormholes Always requires the space points you're linking to be have a different time. Basically when you're making wormholes, you're Always making time machines. A scientist making wormholes shouldn't be surprised by that.

One huge problem with time travel. If u go back to stop something then it never happens. Meaning u never go back to stop it making it happen so that you can go back in time to stop it. Which makes it so you never go back to stop it cause it never happens and then it dose cause no one stoped it and then you go back.... See where I'm going. It's one huge loop you would basically freeze time cause you stopped something that you couldn't and can at the same time.
@corneliusmcmuffin32566 жыл бұрын
theoretically, if you were to travel any faster than the speed of light, you would travel back in time. you know how time slows down when you are going at relativistic speed? the reason it is impossible to go faster than lightspeed is because it would be negative time. light is not affected by time, because at lightspeed time stops.
@AnonEMus-cp2mn6 жыл бұрын
And if you were to cross the event horizon of a black hole (a point where light has stopped), in essence you would see infinitely into the past.

Regardless of the lives saved 9/11 would still have happened and the timeline would still be as it is, the main thing you would change is the one most important temporal rule: you cannot and must not interfere with the established day that people are meant to die meaning if time travel was invented in real life you cannot and must not change a single thing about 9/11 as it is an established historical event in which 3000 died and in terms of time travel they have to die for the timeline to maintain its integrity. Think of it like the episode "father's day" in Doctor Who, Rose changes the established time of her dad's death and it opens breaches in spacetime. Time is incredibly delicate and there's no telling what would change, if you saved even one of those 3000 people that died in the twin towers that could be more recruits for the CI or Serpents Hand in the SCP universe

For time-travel it's best case vs worst case: (Which is why no one sane will likely ever try.) *Best case, it works out, we find out cause and effect are not intrinsically bound and only appears so because of the linear progression of time; so make a portable time machine, so you can keep travelling and undo things, then set about 'fixing the wold', from Hitler, to diseases, to finance and famine. *Worst case, you violate the most fundamental property of space-time, creating a fatal paradox and existence fractures; time no-longer flows, gravity no-longer attracts matter, fire is no-longer hot, water no-longer solid, the weak and strong nuclear forces no-longer bind atoms and all life that existed in the universe's previous state can never function ever again ... and the time machine no longer works with the new version of time (as oppose to the new history that would also probably alter, like ripples a pond; days, seconds, centuries, millennia smashing together and crashing over each other like a crumpled sheet of fractured burning glass). There may be a quantum observance qualifier for inanimate objects and bacteria (ect), and the paradox is not a given, but it would be likely be horrifically fatal to everything that ever has, or ever would have, lived.
