Well....great production and tribute on these 2 videos, Chris B. Athough his name is not on the LP, the David Grisman Quintet 1977 album was a breakthrough for Tony because he caught everyone's ear with his solo playing on that album. I will never forget the first time I heard it. What a sound. Kind of felt bad for Grisman, 'cuz no one listened to him...it was all Tony even though he is only on a portion of the playing solo wise. Listening to him play on these 2 videos you have made brought such tears and great sadness knowing his health is so poor that he is no longer playing. No one plays at this level but Tony Rice. What a legacy for him to have his music for all to hear. So many thanks for producing these for my me and my kids to hear. They had no clue you could play an acoustic steel string like that!

As matter of fact I just picked up a Martin Grand Auditorium that doesn’t sound as good as the old X Model . Billy Strings and Molly Tuttle are both playing Preston Thompson handmade Guitars. I would love to have one. They have a spectacular sound and project a great sound . I haven’t heard a Martin compare to the sound of a Preston Thompson on videos I’ve heard. Hey man, you may have a possible lawsuit on your hands. You forgot to include a warning at the beginning of the video informing your viewers that serious irreversible facial deconstruction can and will occur beginning at 1:07 of this video. Think about all of the poor unsuspecting viewers out there that just weren’t ready for T-Rice to hit them with a face melter like that.
