I got rejected by a woman at work about a year ago. I thanked her for her honesty, and joyfully got on with my day. At least I had a conclusion and knew where I stood. When I bump into her now, I just treat her the same as before. She did nothing wrong. I'll never validate their rejection by being petulent and making them feel as if they've dodged a bullet. And if she changes her mind, it leaves the door open for her to act. But.......I will NEVER ask twice. By asking once, I played my part, and removed the need to simp. Just ask them once, then leave them alone.

Be careful about work relationships. If you have higher work status, you should expect a "Me Too" complaint from now to 30 years from now. Read the "Me Too" allegations against politicians. If she has more status, then if she asks you you have potential for a promotion.

I always always ask myself if I'll still be bothered when I'm in my death bed years from now. I once worked in a hospital and would often hear the elderly patients reflect on their lives, and it helped to hear their perspective. A lot of men grow up with the belief that a partner will complete them or validate their life's efforts etc. It puts us automatically at a major disadvantage. It's important to eliminate this belief while not trying to do the counter opposite just to spite it. Having spent much of my life unknowingly following this belief I can say it's a huge obstacle that stops you from living authentically.

I mentioned in the comments of the previous video about my ex monkey branching. I did probably all the wrong things before going into no contact. For about 14 months things were tough, I tried to keep my hopes up but different things always seemed to drag me back down, trouble with work, family, dating etc. At the same time I heard from mutual friends that my ex was still going strong with her new guy and that she actually moved to him. Around 2-3 months ago something took a turn and life has eased down on me it feels like, I still work hard and improve myself but now I am actually enjoying life. I shine in a different way around my friends now, I started doing dance classes and I am having a blast. I talk to people at the dance and there are some girls I'd like to know better. But I am in a position where I feel no stress about it. I really live my best life at the dance classes and for the first time in a long time I am enjoying myself and am curious about what life holds for me. Regarding the hair, it's different but not in a bad way. Looking amazing no matter what. You got a certain vibe and appeal that just works

One of the most frustrating things about rejection is when it is YOU that was the reason, but because the person wants to avoid confrontation, you won't get any feedback on whether or not it's something you'd like to improve on yourself
@YourWingmam2 ай бұрын
Yes, agreed. And the reason women are often not honest about that is because they’ve had poor reactions in the past doing so. The only way you may be able to get around it with some, but not all, women is to let them know you’d like to learn and grow, and promise not to react poorly to honest feedback. You may find there are things a woman doesn’t like about you that *you do like about you* and it’s simply not a right fit.

Dear Anna: Happy Sunday, darlin'! How is life treating you? How rude of people to interrupt you while you are performing such a geat service to thousands!!! And by the way, hair looks amazing. Real quick, what is your favorite omelette? Just curious since you brought it up. Great video again. I must say, at this point in my life, I sometimes find rejection as a blessing. If she did not want me, it was not going to work out even if I begged for the opportunity to change her mind. Best to save time, money and headaches. That is all for today. I am off to go for a run. I need to start a calorie deficit since I will be stuffing myself on Thursday for Thanksgiving. Speaking of which; Anna, my pretty pen pal from Canada. I want you to know that I am thankful for you and all that you do. I hope you have an amazing week, and I am already looking forward to next week's video. You looked beautiful in this video. Hug and a peck on each cheek. You rock, Anna!!!!

Happy Sunday, Joe, and almost Thanksgiving! Hmm, omelet...at this moment, wild-caught salmon, goat cheese, chives. ;) This: "If she did not want me, it was not going to work out even if I begged for the opportunity to change her mind." Truth! Thank you so much for your kind words, I appreciate you, being here and always leaving a positive comment!

I remember a truly serious relationship that seemed to be going really well. Then one day out of the blue no explanation no warning she said don’t contact me. It was really disturbing with bewilderment and anguish that increased for about a month. Then finally in facing the reality I decided I never wanted to see her again. Somehow she knew and immediately came and acted real friendly and wanted to continue on as if there had been no Break in the relationship. In retrospect, years later I realized it was probably a test. But in a way it was a test both ways. I realize I’m lucky to not be the one trapped into a life relationship with someone so capable of sadism for whatever reason. I saw as Gods word to me, it was to my own good she married my friend and not me. Jung teaches we all have a shadow side that includes a dark side. I wonder if the complete way to understand any kind of relationship is an interaction of both conscious awareness minds and both suppressed shadows.

And how has the marriage worked out between your friend and her?

Rejection used to bother me in the extreme. Lately, the last 4 or 5 years, after I decided that I really don't care, ( surviving cancer helped a good deal with that ) the women that do reject me somehow end up following me around... a lot ! I'll be 70 this next year. Does that have a bearing, maybe ?

Hey Anna, Great video! I'd like to ask - what are your thoughts on remaining friends with / becoming closer friends with a woman who you've asked out in the past? I have a really great friend who, about a year ago, I asked out and she told me she wasn't sure about her feelings toward me and wasn't ready to commit to anything. We both handled the situation really well (she's told me that she thinks I'm very emotionally intelligent and was very mature about handling the rejection) and we are good friends to this day. We've become closer recently and we really enjoy spending time together. I know that some people will say men can't be genuine friends with women, but I would generally disagree. What do you think?

I remember being young and single and when a woman rejected me I'd cut her off, and never speak to her or acknowledge her again. Unnecessary, I know.

No. It was necessary, for your mental health.

I think one of the funniest rejection I had myself was this woman I met from eharmony. She told me on the date she hates anything with violence. I thought okay so I asked at the end if she had a good time and if she’d consider a second date. She said okay and I said I’ll text her in a few days and she made this bizarre text about how she wanted to avoid violence or anything to do and that somehow I was a violent person. I was completely puzzled and confused.

The opposite of love isn't hate but indifference. Anything other than that gives away your inner power. Don't let her memory take up real estate in your mind. :)

@@RickTheClipper Yep. I told my ex wife she was making a huge mistake with a divorce and that I actually felt sorry for her. That just further enraged her. She was going through early menopause. It radically changed her personality. She went from carefree and chill to a raging lunatic. Spiteful. Vengeful. She couldn't sleep for months. Loss of estrogen and oxytocin made her insufferable. She was not the same person. I kept telling her to get medical help which just further enraged her. I told her you carry out this divorce, I will never take you back, and we will never have any contact ever again whatsoever. I meant it and still to this day never contacted her. Sometimes you just have to walk away. Divorcing her was the best thing to happen to me. I am happier, healthier, and far more wealthy.

I left the job I was rejected in and went no contact after months of dating. Idk it felt weird to do the stuff cuz I was extra and didn't want to be stepped on as the "friend" was that bad
