I really like watching otz play survivor bc he doesn’t cut out the parts where he makes mistakes or doesn’t last too long in chase. I feel like a lot of other dbd KZbinrs don’t show when they mess up and only show when they’re looping a killer real good, which can make an average player put unrealistic expectations on themselves. Otz shows the entire match of a game from start to finish and it shows that even professionals make mistakes sometimes

I am a gen jockey myself, and only two things tick me off in that regards; when I know there is no Corrupt and I don't see anyone else get on gens for 30+ seconds, or when I see every other person not doing gens throughout the game. At least in this match you can see people are getting on gens then getting disrupted.

I have many games where I check the footage and I legit did 5 full gens by myself. Tbh I wonder if it's people not being comfortable making plays while injured. I think the Feng was somewhat rightfully mad. She did truly spend the whole game just doing gens and the Nea for example was just a dead weight for the rest of the team, she only did one "good" play with FTP + Buckle Up but not to a very sucessful end. I do agree anyways that people should be less mad in this game, and you and the Jake (despite his horrendous build) did their part.

Semi recently I had a Claudette who literally threw a game because she assumed everyone else was doing nothing (despite that everyone else was getting chased and making killer busy while she was doing gens). It ended up with her blocking 3rd player while I was getting chased and downed and another one was on second stage hooked. Literally killer was defending survs from her, explaining that others were getting chased, keeping him busy so she could do gens, she didn't helped anyone despite being healthy and without hooks, he didn't even saw her once and that possbily she was the weakest link in the whole group in the end. Side note, "not gg" is such a funny term that's often followed by some nonsene reasoning. Like recently I lost a game, but managed to catch and hook, then camp a surv who bmed at exit gate. Got 2 minutes of teabagging from other then in lobby a not gg followed by some slurs that they tried to sneak past censor.

Nea was pretty time-ineffiecient several times here (probably because she was trying to go for a "fun" For The People save, or is very scared while being dead on hook), but the rest of the match seemed kinda standard for gen pressure. In most other cases, it seemed like everyone but Feng was getting pushed off gens by the killer, hit by Pain Res or deadlock, or needing to go for the save. I do think some players are rather bad at recognizing the different factors and perks that are slowing others down when they aren't being personally affected.

Part of why I want them to add a Replay mode, I want to be able to watch games I played in. See what everyone was doing, see how I was doing, and improve. Feng Min: I did 4/5 gens. Also Feng Min: I run Built to Last, Streetwise with double charge add-ons on the fattest toolbox. Feng, if you're here, why are you complaining your build did exactly what it's intended purpose was? If your build was to be chased and all you get to do is gens at normal speed, that's a bit annoying. But Feng's build did flawlessly because it's a background build where you don't get to have fun with chases you basically guarantee that your team have to rescue you if you're found and guarantee that your team will all be 2 hooked before you get 2 hooked. Pretty entitled to complain about getting the exact perk value you went into the match going for.

Btw, everyone who plays hux, check out my favourite build: coup de grace, agitation, starstruck, awakened awareness. The point is that you always have info if you have good pods, and using that info you can carry someone to the hook close to the point of the map you want to pressure, and you know you need to pressure. Coup de grace and the ability to slipstream helps hux to catch up fast, so with enough pressure you don't even need the gen perks.

It's a different game, but it's a similar perspective. In a game of For Honor once, I had a teammate who complained about needing to carry us through a game of Breach because my friend, another teammate, was "Off trying to anti-gank all game instead of playing objectives." What this means, for those of you who use your brains, is basically this salty teammate was saying that its the team's fault that he has to do "all the work" with objectives to win. Even though he would have been doing them against AI, virtually unopposed because my friend was distracting two or three of the four enemies almost at all times. He was complaining that he was the one who had to play objectives, completely fuckin oblivious to the fact that he had an easy time of it because the rest of us had the enemy team locked down. If you play a team-based objective game like this, and you think that because you get a lot of objectives and do good then that means your teammates aren't pulling weight... stop for a moment, put on your thinking cap, and ask yourself; "If my teammates aren't constantly in line of sight and the ENEMY is also seemingly never bothering me, are these things perhaps related?"

I think Feng was having a bad day. Feng had a gen focused build so her priority was gens, no issue her with that. Otz and Jake were more on the chase and pepper gens type. Nea... maybe Nea was trying something new or experimenting? Regardless, Feng shouldn't disregard the effort put forth by the players that took chase, allowing Feng to focus on gens. I've been on both sides where I'm doing all the gens (4/5), but am fully aware that I'm only capable of doing that because the other survivors are keeping pressure off me. I've also had to run killers for 4/5 or 5/5 gens but knowing fully well that by playing bait, I'm giving my team time to gens. At the end of the day, it takes teammwork for either extreme playstyles. Hopefully Feng logged off and got some time away doing something else.

Many people in the community don't know how movement speeds work and they perpetuate a lot of misinformation, and I think a big part of that is the obsession with using percentages of a survivor's running speed to talk about speeds (like 110%, 115%, etc.). In reality, the game only works in meters per second, and every character has a current base movement speed in m/s. For example, when Blight is not rushing his base speed is 4.6 m/s. When rushing, not counting acceleration curves which would complicate calculations, he has a base speed of 9.2 m/s. Apart from the base speed in m/s there is also a multiplier which is applied on top, and this multiplier can itself be a combination of multiple different multipliers (either base effects or effects from perks, add-ons, etc.). For instance, Clown reloading while under the effect of the Afterpiece Antidote would move at a speed of 1.771 m/s, since the reload speed is treated by the game as the base walking speed (4.6 m/s) with a multiplier of 0.35, while the yellow gas applies a multiplier of 1.1 (i.e. 10% haste). 4.6 × 0.35 × 1.1 = 1.771. If e.g. he had 3 Play With Your Food (tier III) tokens, then you'd also need to apply a 1.15 multiplier on top, therefore ~2.04 m/s. To properly calculate movement speeds, we need to know exactly which base speed and multiplier the game applies by default for any given situation. Although I don't generally recommend the wiki due to outdated or arbitrarily (sometimes incorrectly) reworded descriptions, in this case I suggest checking their page on Movement Speeds to learn more.

As far as I know the bonus speed doesn't get calculated based on your current speed, it simply gets added up or subtracted from the speed that is set as 100%. So the survivor speed is 4.0 m/s and is the set 100% and the normal killer speed is 4.6 m/s -> 115% (range killers move at 4.4 m/s -> 110%, Nurse 3.85/ 96.25%, and there is far more variety). Here are some examples with different movement speed perks in play: A survivor (100%) with Hope (+7%) and Made for This (+3%) gets unhooked (+10% for 10sec). So he runs with a speed of 120% but a teammate goes down next to him and the killer has Forced Hesitation (-20% for 10sec) so he runs at his normal 100% speed. A normal killer (115%) with 3 stacks of Play with your Food (+15%) chases a survivor with a movement speed of 130%, then a gen gets done wich he had trapped with Machine Learning (+10% for 30sec) so he is 140% fast, but the survivor dropps a god pallet and put a Chemical Trap on it, he still breakes it (-50% for 4 sec) and moves at 90% speed. I am also often that one guy on gens. I'm "decent" at running the killer, but I'm better at just not getting seen. And in that case it's the best to just vibe at the gens. And still. Sometimes you get stuck in a corner with chase taking place nearby. Or you try to help a teammate. And do "nothing" according to HUD. Sometimes not giving the killer an easy down is the best you could do. And with a build like this Nea had, sticking around might be better than trying to sneak away, getting spottet and killed. No need to shittalk in postgame chat. Chill and give friendly advice for the next time.

If you get a whole team full of gigaloopers, shack pallet isnt a big deal as ALL pallets become god pallets in their hands. However, in the wild west of solo que, people can typically only consistently loop shack efficiently. So save it for ur teammates unless you know they are basically gods

Nea barely touched a gen all game (~20 seconds!), and went afk near shack. The Jake spent the second half of the game trying to self-care. And the Feng literally did all 5 gens. Yes, I'd be salty too if I were the Feng.

It really saddens me that survivors seem to miss the memo that wasting the killers time is what gives them a chance to do the gens. The ONLY way gens can be done is when the killer either has ZERO clue where anyone is or when the killer is pre-occupied with chases/boons/distractions. ESPECIALLY against high mobility killers. Sometimes, it's just not enough and that is gonna happen. Is it annoying? Yes. Does it happen often? It definitely can. Can something be done about it? Not really.. Running repair speed perks can help (deja vu has been my staple for both speed and finding that really hard to find gen, particularly on swamp or Macmillan or even indoor maps) but unless you're burning toolboxes, there's only so much to do if the killer has insane mobility (nurse, blight, spirit, even legion can be a bit to deal with at times) and is exercising their lethality well.
