Throughout the first two years of Kris Bryant's career, he obtained the rookie of the year award, MVP and a World Series ring. The perfect start to a career. However, since he signed a 7 year 182 million dollar contract with the Rockies everything has gone downhill.

I remember in April 2015 when the cubs were manipulating his service time and he was still in the minors, there was a billboard right next to Wrigley field with his face saying something like “he’s coming”

I can’t remember when it was. But he got an injury in about 2018/19 and had to change his swing. From then on he went downhill pretty fast. Shame. Had a beautiful swing back in the early days.

I was doing some research and one of the key issues during those two seasons was getting hit in the head on a pitch. Supposedly that did change his game a bit and that's when we started to see the beginning of his decline. Hope he can get back healthy and prove us wrong though!

Kris Bryant should've stayed with the Cubs because that is what made the World Series what it was for the most part. He was their unintentional mascot! And then when he got traded, you noticed a void in the Cubs.

I don’t believe any Contract could be as bad as Chris Davis. It was like he said, I’ve got my $$$ so screw everyone. After signing he never hit over .225. Criminal! How much of a problem was he? As soon as he’s gone they improve greatly.

He has ADHD and MLB didn't allow him to take meds. Baseball gives you bad anxiety, especially when you're struggling. Imagine now being able to take your legit prescription

@3-0Greenlight my wife was always a casual fan . She fell in love with KB and the team in 2015 . What a joy they were to watch ! Personally, I blame Joe for a lot of the issues that led to not winning another title and the collapses in the later season

The Rockies are terminally stupid when it comes to free agent deals like this. The writing was on the wall, and Bryant was in obvious decline well before the contract was even offered. Bryant just doesn't seem like he cares. On the rare occasions he's in the lineup he looks tuned out and lackadaisical. This contract isn't going to get any better, and I think the Rockies will eventually have to cut him and eat the money.
