Hasbro in the 2010s pitched together a plan to connect all Transformers media as one single "canon", pitched as The Aligned Continuity. Allthough I think the problem is that every creator and writer had their own plan for what they wanted to do with the stories they had in mind. Wether it's the games or comics. Even the writers of Transformers Prime expressed focusing on doing their own thing. Highmoon Games studio seem to have a lot of love for the G1 era of TF, with tons of references to the old show and movie and even using The Touch as the credits song. TLDR: Transformers fans basically chose for themselves if they want to treat it all as one canon (and just accept the many continuity errors/retcons), or treat each property seperately. To be frank it's up to you.

I loved how Devestation is basically G1 with MGR gameplay, and that they able to brought in (almost) all of the va's that have worked during the series, as well as the composer. I do wish the sequel exists honestly

I think both games has their own identity. War has more bleak atmosphere, more character to play as in most level & 8/9 boss fights (Fall has only 3/4 boss fight) Fall is more hype, has more varieties in term of level design & emotional.

DUDE I FUCKING LOVED FALL OF CYBERTRON!!! Like genuinely I forgot about this absolutely gem of a game. Everything from the level design, playable characters, voice acting, it was straight up ✨ MWAH ✨ It had flaws sure, but as one of the first transformers games to actually captivate my adhd kid brain, it was enough for me. I even enjoyed the multiplayer and escalation wave modes added. This game holds a lot of memories so I’m glad someone I enjoy watching reminded me of the simpler times.
