Honestly, the marketing push for Sonic Year feels like it is happening again. The Sonic Movie 2 brought in tons of new fans and Sega is gonna reel them in with Sonic Origins. Sonic Prime in the fall will continue the momentum of the series and Sonic Frontiers caps off this year of Sonic! We might just be in for a Sonic resurgence on all fronts. Fascinating!

@@theantgreAll I know is that at least it will have more than 15 minutes of Modern Sonic gameplay. That’s my bare minimum for Sonic Frontiers. I have a good feeling about this game even though Sega is doing everything in their power to hide crucial details.

I just found this channel, and the fact that it’s named “Jakstalgia” and the OC literally has long pointy ears, like this is is some crazy coincidence, I bet they’ve never heard of Jak and Daxter before ,making it an even crazier coincidence. BTW nice video, here’s a like.

The problem with Sonic is that SEGA is always trying to save their company through him... and that's why they keep re inventing him to appeal what they perceive is the biggest target audience. I think if they stick with Mania, and they do sequels like Mania 2 with more known characters, that would sell like pancakes... that's what Sonic fans actually want.

Just found the channel after looking for some harvest moon content, have to say i love your style and the way this video is set up specifically. Some bits give me huge Scott the Woz vibes but it's no where near too much or unoriginal. You don't see people talk about the Heroes period of the franchise much it's always just "adventures were good and then they fucked it up" so it's really nice and refreshing to see the early early 2000s of sonic being gone over like this

It's all about awareness, people won't come if they don't know that this channel exists, we can share it around, but that can only get this channel so far, it kinda needs that algorithm boost, but I don't know how to make that happen. Also, there's also a bit of a criticism that could* turn some folks away... these are a bit slow, 1.25x speed actually feels like what normal should be. Now, I did just went ahead and played the video at that speed, and it was great, but I know a bunch of folks who don't even know that feature exists.

If your jabs at the Saturn in this video aren't just jokes, I definitely recommend giving the console an unbiased look. It *was* a joke in the west, but that just comes down to SEGA America's terrible marketing of the thing. This badass madman named Pandamonium [ kzbin.info ] is reviewing every single Saturn game released in the US, all in insane detail. He also talks about the history and the tech specs and gets super in-depth with the developers of each game, it's incredible.
