I took my daughter and mother-in-law there for their birthday for high tea and it was the BEST...truly elegant, delicious and proper! The service was what really added the icing to the cake! Perfect service!

Speaking of birthdays, back in the 90s I visited London with a co-worker and we went to the Ritz Palm Court for tea. She dismissed it as being 'very cliche." I told her I was sorry she felt that way as it was my birthday gift to her. Ah well. I will go again one day and have a better time, as you seem to be doing here. Lovely video!

Apart from all the classics (no freedom of speech, no free press, tortures…), LGBT people are persecuted and women are second class citizens. If all that is not enough, migrant workers from poor asian countries (Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, India…) work there in near-slavery conditions , specially during the construction of the infrastructures of the recent football cup.
