Loved that Dave.. even a little IB TAT in there. A beaver, lochs, friendship, illness and throughout it all - an undiminished enthusiasm.. loved the past references and photos too. Thank you Dave. Jim.. 😎😎😎😎

That was so enjoyable Dave - I was going to watch half and come back to it but then it just grabbed me and I continued on-not a dull moment anywhere. Big stones to mighty roams amid the nature. I agree them village shops are a pleasure. Wow, so much to say. Well done on the finish - a real trooper. All the best. Mark

Thanks so much for the great video, Dave! What I enjoyed most were all the stories that came back to you on the hike and that you kindly shared with us. Thanks also for the great impressions of the Rob Roy Way, which I'm walking in the May this year.

Dave I gotta say you are our favourite KZbinr, loved this video as everything you do you do it with a smile 😃 we also love all your stories talking to the camera 😀 talking about adventures we found it a weird feeling going to Switzerland and getting to the final destination by train then getting off and not having a clue where you are gonna sleep the night, this video reminded me of our trip ( proper adventures) take care Dave 👍

Well thank you so much Simon And Mark , yes like you say it’s certainly makes it an exciting adventure when you don’t know where your going to spend the night. I do quite enjoy that but yea extra scary when it comes to a foreign trip. ATB Oh I think you do get a mention in the final instalment of my CW trip if I ever get around to finishing the edit. 🍺🍺👍

Bloody brilliant Dave! There's a reason that you're one of my favourite KZbinrs, and this video goes to show just why. I knew that I was in for a treat seeing this, so I opened a bottle of Theakston Old Peculiar, poured myself a pint (which turned into 2 whilst viewing) and settled in to watch. From the superb locations where you pitched, your morning tent dance, the sound of Bagpipes, the camp side tales of your life experiences (which I absolutely love listening to 👍), your Beaver/Otter spotting capabilities, through to your singing, it was fantastic. It was also nice to see you walking along with that chap called Richard, and I'm not surprised that he joined you, as I know from the personal experience of meeting you, that you're a nice, likable, wise & knowledgeable bloke. Sorry to learn that you were feeling a bit ill on day 5, but you seemed to soldier on through it and didn't let it get you down, and still came across as your usual happy self. Today, I woke up (for some reason) feeling a little low, but after watching your video, I've cheered up. So thank you for the video and for putting a smile on my face. In a murky world, you're a bright shining star mate.

Bloody amazing comment Steve, thank you so much for such a positive response and detailed feedback I bloody appreciate it Steve. Love a drop of Theakstons OP in fact I’ll never forget a pint from the oak barrel at the brewery. ATB Steve. I just booked a train ticket to rendezvous with Mark on the 11th July to carry on on the Cambrian way. So looking forward to that. Kind regards 🍻

I've really enjoyed this video for a number of reasons. The lochside scenes that you videoed were wonderful, the sounds of the birds in the morning were just sublime. The footage of the beaver was a treat too. A really informative video on the RRW too. I'm pleased that you've done this as it was a trail that I had been considering. But, seeing the amount of forestry tracks has probably made me realise that this isn't the trail for me. That said, your video will be hugely informative for many who do decide to use this video for research! Well done Dave

Morning Dave and thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. Yes the route is very much a hard surface one but the scenery is none the less spectacular. All the bird song was incredible and that’s why I didn’t use any music. Yes the loch side camp was certainly one that I will always remember. To continue this route I shall walk up through glentilt down glen feshie and over to Loch Ness. Kind regards. 🍻

You are an inspiration Dave....the best narrator/story-teller on YT. And what a result so see a beaver. I'm going to look at your route on a map and see if I can place the location you saw it 👍. I am wondering, what became of your friends Mark and Graham? Are you still in touch? Did they ever settle down into 'normal' life? Anyway, a fantastic film....The West Highland Way has never really appealed but after this the Rob Roy Way does.

Thank you again Chris for your extremely generous comment it’s hugely appreciated. 🍻Yes my friend Mark just the one person formally Graham Hole but changed name to Mark Graham. A very inspiring person and has achieved many things in his life. We have not seen each other for about 15 years since he moved to the Stroud area. He has been at the forefront of many alternative things written books some on astrology A Druid an alternative fair organiser a leader in many ways. A singer and band front man. All sorts. We drifted apart many years ago. Me and my dad joined him to walk the ridgeway which was a pilgrimage for Mark to Avebury and Stonehenge where he no doubt performed ritules and led service’s. Every day on the hike he did a live phone in to Radio 4 reporting on his experience. Anyway there you go Chris Kind regards ✌️👍🍻

Just watched my longest ever yt. video😁 What a brilliant film Dave!!! I have been watching with my wife. She wanted to watch something together on TV but luckily we couldn't find the remote control for it so I suggested your Scottish film and we really enjoyed it so much. You are the best nature observer I know.. all those animals you caught on camera and so much great sounds of birds, water etc, fantastic time lapses with clouds.. well done you! So happy for you, that you managed to finish it despite the wee weakness or some illness which was trying to stop you. Brilliant stories again too, we were laughing so much, that one from the train and the girl jumped to your bed was so funny😁 I 'd like to do that when I retire too and be same fit you are! Very inspiring! And so much hard work with editing too. I very much appreciate that. Thank you for your work Dave🙂 PS. Irn Bru tastes awfull😁
