As usual, we can't really hear Bill's playing and I'm unsure if it's by design. But this is the first time that I've seen Bill playing bass by thumb-picking rather than his familiar use of a pick. Apparently he was already playing with thumb while with his 2002 Rhythm Kings. I suppose that you CAN teach an old dog new tricks. Bill had also played bass in the usual finger-picking manner although very seldom. I suppose that it all depends on the specific tone that he's after. I miss him if only for nostalgic reasons. He was there virtually from the very beginning after Brian, Mick and Keith got together and he more than deserves the respect. Like the others, Bill made the commitment by taking the chance and it paid off very well. Bill is also valuable to The Stones by being sober and wise enough to save various items serving as documents from the Stones' history that make him the unofficial biographer for the band. And Bill is also right on by setting the record straight that even for all of his faults, it was Brian who formed The Stones and got the band started, and not Mick and Keith, although among other things, Mick and Keith's songwriting partnership overshadowed Brian's early contributions until Brian's eventual demise.

I don't like how Keith muffed the simple lead in to the song. It shows lack of respect for his ex band member.

The amount of money fans are charged for ticket. A simple 'Chuck Berry' riff should have least been in order, especially when their ex band member was introduced. The band has become stinking rich with the help of ignorant 'Dufus' people such as yourself !

Did you ever think maybe this is what he wanted to play? Even if the bass isn't prominent? You know he doesn't like having the spotlight.

The Stones sounds needed prominent , but prominent, bass. As Chicago blues.

Lol, Bill wanted to leave, get over it. Are you all still stressing about why the beatles broke up also? Nevermind all that it doesn’t matter.
