I had the same situation for “the Spellmonger” had it in my kindle for years, avoided it because it sounded ridiculous and long, once I began could not read it fast enough luckily a few other of the now 17 books were available, maybe the best series, imo..keep in mind I love the alonson “expedition series”…thank you for the idea

Nice review. Not sure it’s for me, but I’ll give it a look. See if I can find it on a bookshelf somewhere and read a few pages. I did just finish “Necrobane” by Ford, book 2 of the Warden series. I may have enjoyed it more than the first. Waiting for the third, and hoping it wraps up. I’m not really interested in a 16 volume series like “Wheel of Time”. Oh, and hello!
