Been listening to these guys since their second album when I was only 13 by far my favorite rap group and I still think "Things Fall Apart" is the best hip hop album ever made. They have been, overlooked, and considered underrated even within hip hop for most of their career. While I knew they were on Jimmy Falon I've never really watched the show and didn't realize what a boost this has given the band. I haven't checked out this video in a while and tonight seeing that it has nearly 17 million views almost made me shed a tear. I had no idea they gained that level of popularity. SKULL KRUSHER Yes, they are top notch musicians. And they are indeed very tight when they play live. But it is silly to say “they are all right in the groove the whole time” when you’re talking about a studio recording. You can pick the worst bunch of musicians in the world and make them sound tight with some computer magic. In the studio, every instrument is recorded separately. A musician can do many takes. Small pieces can be stitched together or copy-pasted. Individual notes can be moved miliseconds to be right on the beat.
@skullkrusher44183 жыл бұрын

God I love this classic rock and roll mixed with modern hip hop/rap. It's so good. The collaboration of all these genres is why i love The Roots and the Gorilaz. Both do this kind of stuff in the most creative ways. Good job Roots!

I just heard this song about a month ago and it’s started to grow on me. The more I listen to it the more I realize what an amazing song it is.

This track right here proves The Roots are one of the best rap groups of all time & not even just that, it also showcases in other genres like rock.

I hear this during a lot of sporting event commercial breaks on tv. That riff is the catchiest thing ever. Lyrics are ice cold.

Como o tempo voa.... Já se passaram 20 anos!!! Música boa é igual vinho. Quanto mais velho, melhor. Lembro em 2003 quando essa música passava todas as manhãs na MTV. Como sou grato por ter vivenciado tudo isso! ❤️🇧🇷

Still remember when this came out , 2002 was the first year I started to break out from the norm of the top 40 and really discover music, still remember them going on local access to promote this amazing album.
