I have a story about losing my favorite disc. It happend 2 days ago. Let me run you through this. I was taking my friend out to play a round of DG. He never played before. During our round he noticed some fire on a hill on the course. Surrounding the fire were 2 people. I decided to check it out and found out they were 2 14 year old kids doing arson. I would lecture them but just warn them about the grass being really dry and I didn’t want them to light up the course on accident. They seemed pretty alarmed and I let them be. Later during the round I encountered them again as they were still in the same place on the course. They started asking questions about the sport and where to get those discs. After showing them and telling everything they had questions about I walked up to the next tee. The kids followed us wanting to see me throw. They said they would go down the hill to see where the disc would land (the shot was obstructed and you couldn’t see the landingsite) well, after my great tee shot I walked down the hill just to see one of the kids ride his bike of the fairway with my favorite driver in his hand and just booking it. 2 other guys on the course were yelling at them but they didnt respond. At first I didn’t want to ruin their day by calling the police for arson but instead the police is now looking for those kids for arson and theft.

My first favorite disc was definitely a "tree giveth, and tree taketh" full circle moment. I fished it out of the top of a tree while playing one of my first few rounds with a borrowed disc. It was a blue, DX Gazelle. No ink and this was before the internet so no real way to track down an owner, so finder's keepers. For my noob-self at the time it was absolute magic on our short local woods course. I played with just that disc for probably 4 years (Eventually I added putters and other stuff, but it was still a go-to). Years later, playing over winter holidays, I slipped a little on an icy teepad and drilled first-available. The poor disc split clean in half, both rims, flight plate, straight through. You could barely have done it cleaner with a bandsaw. It sucked, but at least there was closure, and I had backups at that point. I've also lost an ace disc (not my first, fortunately) and that was definitely harder to deal with. Had a number on it and everything, but never resurfaced or got a call. Maybe eventually, but I suspect most folks wouldn't think a champion aviar is anything special. I've had several others returned as our local community is great so 🤷♂

My first Ace disc was an Innova Roadrunner. Lost it in some tall grass that you would never imagine losing a disc in. There are indeed fairies or goblins in this world, and they steal discs.

Exactly how I lost a brand new S-Line FD1 that I'd only thrown twice. Damn you fairies and goblins 😢

If somebody found an ace disc (assuming you had it marked as such which you probably did) and didn't return it they should be given chain outs and cage hits for life. I kept an ace disc in my bag (without throwing it) for weeks until I was finally able to return it and refused a reward because it's that important!

once i spent 45min finding a lost disc only to lose that same disc on the second to last hole "same day" in the water... that was PAINNNNNNNNNNN!!

I lost a disc one day couldn't find it after 10 days of looking. One day I come on it super stoked. Later that playing a round with a homie legit lost it on the same hole on the same day I found it. Got it returned a year later.

Most aggravating loss was my precious Mint Freetail. I had been playing for only a couple of months and this was the only disc that had a chance of going far (for me) and straight. I didn't actually lose it but rather forgot to pick it up. I was trusting the generosity of other disc golfers to pick it up as it was right on the edge of a fairway and a bright lime green color but nay!!! The f-er who picked it up never called and kept it. Still haunts me almost 2 yrs later and angers me even more.

I’m gonna just buy neon discs and bring a black light to hunt for any of my lost discs at night.

One of our local guys keeps a essence that he gives to newer players. He asks them to leave the disc in the courses lost and found when they are done.

Got a glow Z luna 3 weeks ago, first stable luna I ever threw, and got an ace with it last week on a hole I've been going for for a year now, over water, downhill. Just a semi-tight gap. Now, yesterday I threw it on the same hole, pulled it a little right and it wound up barely kissing a tree and winding up in the water, and of course due to it being heavily wooded I couldn't see where it went in, and better yet there are nine-thousand lily-pads right now. One day I'll get it back :(

For the past three days I’ve been going back to the course to find one of my Volts. They cut the grass at the course yesterday morning so I thought I’d have better luck. But nothing. I will go back out tomorrow evening…wish me luck

I had a great OTB special edition Squall that flew perfectly. I was practicing in a field one day and didn't notice until the next day that I didn't have it. Went back and looked for an hour but no Squall. I bought another one but it's not the same.

Love your videos man, always entertaining. I think on tour near Pittsburgh is coming soon just a heads up. North boundary park course SUCKS. Play knob hill or moraine state park if your ever around. Dgpt made a huge mistake with north boundaries course it’s so dogshit but they always play it in tornaments

Lost my Thunderbird I hit both of my aces with like 20 feet off the tee after it hit a tree and buried under brush. Looked forever. Cut my loses came back the next day and found it. Was looking 40 feet farther up than where it was. Only throw it now on shots I know I won’t lose it.

Dude, I got an entire bag stolen. I came out better when I relearned the new one. You don't throw discs you can't live without, and I'm not even sure what those would be.

Sorry for you losing the disc and then finding it with someone else but that part of the oldest rule of finders being keepers and losers being weepers just be glad it found a loving new home is is not left out in the forest being called litter by stupid hippies

Hole 14 at Lincoln Ridge (Banklick) is evil. Theres a reason udisc has a 19hole layout here. The creek holes are NOT maintained. I'll take a look down there tomorrow and see if I can locate that popcorn for you

Jefferson repeats himself in every video so he must be a stoner😂 typical grumpy old american too since he hates on every disc Company who's not american 😂😂 love the Smacktalk, but his ideas should evolve and not sound like an ac/dc record on replay.
