Al Fadi and Dr. Jay continue to review the Sana’a Mushaf manuscript’s many edits and variations. Today they look at 63 verses that reveal 70 variations! 16 of those are composed of entirely different sentences. No small matter. There have been some claims saying that this work was possibly composed by students hence the many mistakes, corrections, and variations, but this isn’t plausible due to the simple expense of the materials used in the script. Watch as Al Fadi and Dr. Jay continue this fascinating series.

The discovery of the Sanaa cache was such a gift to historians, and so damaging to Islam. It proves that, as late as 700 AD, the Qur'an was still very much a work in progress. Obviously, this book did not get revealed from heaven over a period of 23 years in the early 7th century. Great video.

The most significant thing about Sanaa is not becauase the Sanaa Manuscript, but rather because Sanaa is also (one of) the capital city(ies) of the Himyarite Kingdom. A Kingdom that ruled over territory of modern day Yemen before Islam. And the fact that a Himyarite inscription dating 523 AD contains the term MHMD, the Praised One. (The Judaism of the Ancient Kingdom of Ḥimyar in Arabia: A Discreet Conversion by Christian Julien Robin) What was the prophet doing in 523 AD firtyseven years before his birth in Yemen? From the inscription it's clear that the term MHMD is no a personal name, it's a divine name. Keep in mind that the Himyarite Kingdom at that time had adopted Judaism, it means that MHMD could have been a title for a divine messiah. Then, the Sanaa manuscript was also found in Sanaa, one of capital cities of the kinhdom.

We must understand that the contentions (or disagreements) over the “Perfect Preservation of the Quran” is a thing of great importance to Muslims. How else can a Muslim assumes his divine human superiority over his fellow human beings if the Quran has been tempered with by man? Allah tells Muslims that they alone, when compared to the rest of mankind, are the superior human beings ever created. Quran 3:110 reads, “You (Muslims) are the best of people ever raised up for mankind.” In Hadith Riyas as-Salihin 1839, Mohammed, the prophet of Islam, explains Quran 3:110: “The best people for mankind are those who bring them (mankind) with chains around their necks till they embrace Islam…” * Thus, the Muslim must fiercely contend for his human supremacy by insisting the Quran, from God, is a decree that cannot be changed for all eternity. Surely, you do not expect the Muslim to give in to the claim “All men are created equal” - a claim he attributes to a “supposedly” corrupt book?

The belief in the perfect preservation of the Quran seems to require a suspension of normal use of intellect to check things. Not only does one have early texts different from later-created much used "recitations", but hadiths indicated alterations - goats eating, early variants being burnt, much of surah 33 lost, infamous verses removed from surah 53, (but if one studies it for oneself it looks like not enough of what "Satan cast in" was removed.)Then the surahs do not faithfully affirm what they claim to affirm, it is not using good sources often, like the use of non-canonical late pseudo-gospels to create Isa, the Quranic version of Jesus, largely demoted to being a cookie cutter generic Islamicised prophet, or even fables of a fantasy variety.

@@HollywoodBigBoss .................. YHWH is an invented name. Do you know where it is taken from? Because the Christians don't have a name for their god called the Father, the Bible scholars later on came up with the idea from the story of Moses. When Moses asked God if who he should call Him, God said: "I am who I am". I don't know if from what language the Bible scholars derived the 4 letters YHWH from. Greek? Hebrew? Aramaic? But that what's they came up with, YHWH. Again, since YHWH is quite awkward to hear, they came up with the idea of putting vowels in between. Maybe they selected from YAHWAH, YEHWEH, YOHWOH, YAHAWAHA, YEHEWEHE, YOHOWOHO, YEHWAH, YOHWEH, YAHWEH. And they came up with a consensus to use YAHWEH. Out of the many unpleasant names they selected, it's YAHWEH which is less unpleasant. And so, YAHWEH is the "Name" adapted. -01-19-24

If there's only one Quran: Ibn Mujahid (+7), Al Shatibi (+14) and Al Jazari (+9) would never chose multiple readings if there's more than one original Quran, as one hadith said that there were 7 ahruf, how could it proliferate into qiraat and riwayat? (Which according to Yasir Qadhi, one of the most difficult topic in the Islamic studies) And what did Uthman do? How could he standardized the multiple ahruf into 1 mushaf?

In Short - to produce the 'authentic authorized' Quran of today, it took an man or a few men to sort through 'The Word of Allah' and SELECT what are the valid words. The rest are discarded. If I get this correct, the claim that the Quran is 'uncreated' and exists in Heaven, means these compilers had access to Heaven with permission of Allah, to ensure complete accuracy in their selection of the exact same verses Preservation principle]. That would be a greater revelation in extent than the Prophet had! So - do we have any records that show that these compilers did access the Divine original in Heaven? Or - they 'guessed' the relevant verses and so we finally end up with a man made compiler's opinion of the Holy Text. The 'divine preservation' principle is not holding up well in my opinion.

Earlier manuscripts did not have vowel sound markings nor dots. Arabic can still be read without these but need more effort. But when words or even full sentences are different or missing then it is a HUGE problem. Despite this huge problem we continue to need scriptures and what else do we have except studying all of them and cross examining them by themselves? One of the verses needed for shahadah commands Muslims to believe in all revelations not only the latest one(2:136, 2:4, 10:94) and another verse commmands them to go to the people who have received scriptures before them to learn(4:162, 3:186 5:57)

For there was a Covenant between all prophets and Allah SWT that they should support Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in his mission and announce to the people about his coming. What's bad with divorcing a woman? 65:4. And those who no longer expect menstruation among your women - if you doubt, then their period is three months, and [also for] those who have not menstruated. And for those who are pregnant, their term is until they give birth. And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him of his matter ease. JESUS POINTS US TO THE FATHER THROUGH HIMSELF: There is no other way to have eternal life except to believe in God through Jesus. People need to realize Jesus speaks and does God's will ONLY. When Jesus said believe in him, he is saying to believe his words about the Father and himself. Everything Jesus speaks and does is controlled by the Father’s power and spirit within him. Jesus does nothing of himself (John 5:30). Jesus said he casts out demons by God's power and spirit, not his own (Matthew 12:28). Jesus said to hear his words we must believe in God; only this is eternal life (John 5:24). Jesus said in his prayer *to the Father,* “and this is life eternal that they might know YOU the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent” (John 17:3).

@@defenderoftruth3212 Please don’t act so dumb! 🤪 There is only one God: but three Persons in the Godhead. YOU KNOW THAT VERY WELL! But you are a troll. God the Father, Son and Spirit. To fulfill prophecy and to rescue mankind from the curse of sin and death (ultimately eternal damnation) the Son TEMPORARILY left heaven and became incarnate as Jesus to pay the penalty for our sins as the Lamb of God who, because He was The Son Incarcerated, was able to live a sinless life and thus was a perfect sacrifice. He further fulfilled prophecy by rising from the dead, showing Himself to over 500 witnesses and then ascending back into heaven. I feel sorry for you. Your sins remain with you because you have rejected God’s free gift of Salvation through the work of Christ on the Cross.

Rob Christian mentioned a particularly bad omission. Surah 61.6 iirc in the lower layer of the palimpsest, does not have Jesus saying Ahmed is prophesied, the meaning was totally different, about Jesus himself, and the insertion looks like bolstering the claims of the prophet author of the Quran. Should the author have been thinking of himself as a prophet though, he seems to fit the role of teacher, yet is using the rather inadequate training he has had, as in commending the injil (gospels) then using noncanonical late pseudo-gospels. The rabbinic Jews had not had a prophet since Malachi according to them, so it would have to be the case that Mohammed gave signs and wonders, but instead there are excuses, and the Old Testament prophets gave many prophecies, not just a few vague ones. Christians would expect him to have studied the gospel and epistles, and also be familiar with church fathers' writings, as well as Old Testament study.

How would you reword the Surah 61:6 to make it appear that it's referring to Prophet jESUs (pbuh)? 61:6. And [mention] when Jesus, the son of Mary, said, "O children of Israel, indeed I am the messenger of Allah to you confirming what came before me of the Torah and bringing good tidings of a messenger to come after me, whose name is Ahmad." But when he came to them with clear evidences, they said, "This is obvious magic." -01-21-24

Almost none of the 30+ version have the full the 114 chapters. How can Sanaa Manuscript don't have 114 chapters .? Prophet Muhammad and his companions and his people have memorized 114 chapters. They always read and review During the month of Ramadan. If you say the Quran was only completed in 1936 or 1924, then that is wrong. During the time of Muhammad and his companions again Maybe Since the time of the Prophet and his companions, the Quran has been memorized and written. No surahs or verses have been added. Nothing has been removed or reduced. If anything has been reduced or added, it can be detected. fixed 114

They used the 796 Qur'an as the basis of their study. So the 796 Qur'an was reprinted into many copies in 1924. Then reprinted in 1936. Have seen some amazing supernatural testimonies - Jesus is not stuck in his grave, as well as people now exposed to critiques which before the internet were largely censored, Al Fadi and Jay being part of that natural truth-seeking. Bad government and extremism are also sparking the mental engines of some muslims, so they are questioning rather than blindly accepting what they have been told.

There is only one gospel that has only one version that was translated to many languages, while the non-canonical books were taken out of it because they had mistakes, because all of the canonical books are 100% consistent with each other, and 100% consistent with the very first Bible. The ancient Dead Sea scrolls are IDENTICAL to the Bible of today, while the Quran took HUNDREDS of years to be created and edited, and was changed every day with zero documentation all the way until a standardized version was agreed upon in 1924.
