The Sanlida Hermit X10 limbs shoots 183 fps. with 10 gpp at 28" of drawlenght. At 27" of drawlenght it shoots 175 fps. with 10,5 gpp.

Very decent speed. Take out 5-7fps when shooting with fingers and the limbs are there with the others in the $200-300 price range.

I'm really glad u did this test Peter that u would usually find on equipment that isn't traditional. I have a micro arrow tune last year which was 490 grains with my 29.5 " draw. It turned our perfect whether it was fletched or bare shaft. Reading an animals body & being above them in a 🌳 is much more important than speed. The longer they r in your vicinity & relaxed the better your odds r.😮😅🎉

Very informative. Thank you for sharing and making these videos. I see guys posting the speed of their bows all the time. I bought a Chronograph and I have never been able to achieve the speeds that some people say they are getting. I have shot about every high end bow you can think of through the Chronograph and they are all within 5-7 fps from each other. Same with bow strings, maybe 1-3 fps difference, if that. Thanks Peter for the great videos. Be safe

Another excellent session, Peter. Thank you. Like you, I'm a bowhunter, and I'm not hung up on speed. But I'd say a 47-lb. recurve that hits 183 fps with arrows weighing 470 grains is damned fast! Given how enthusiastic other reviewers are about the characteristics of the draw cycle in the Sanlida Hermit X10 complete bow (limbs AND riser), I'd love to see you shoot it and hear what you think-especially about the bow's reported smoothness, quietness, and lack of stacking. These qualities ARE important to me (and many other bowhunters), and having you confirm or deny their presence in the Hermit would mean a lot because of your experience and objectivity. Best, Chris (Maine, USA)

Well I dont have the complete bow. Only the limbs. My impression of the limbs is that there is alot quality for the money. And they are not particularly louder than other limbs in same quality. Thanks for watching

I'm certain that Sanlida would be glad to send you the riser and D97 string that they normally include in the Hermit X10 kit. Just a thought.

Did you by chance put these limbs on the 13” riser you have and test the poundage and speed? I have the same limbs on 13” VPA riser and think I’m around 52lbs and unknown speed. Great video though and subscribed!
@peterjuulsgaard6 ай бұрын
I have had it on the VPA and it also ended up in the low 50’s yes. As I recall it was around 180 fps with 10 gpp. Thanks for watching and the sub
@chrisbowman20302 күн бұрын
Considering you're using a Flemish string with four silencers in it, 183 fps is pretty good for 10 gpp. My more expensive Uukha limbs deliver 185 fps with that draw length and arrow weight.
@peterjuulsgaard2 күн бұрын
The machine is also better releasing the string. Our fingers are not fast enough. If you shoot yours with fingers, you could maybe gain a couple feet in a machine

Peter, what do you mean the rght distance btw the nock and the feather? how do you measure it?
@peterjuulsgaard2 ай бұрын
Thats because I’m using the feather to nose technique. (Using the feather as clicker) in this video I’m talking about it Feather to Nose Technique - Where to place the feathers?? - Traditional archery tips kzbin.info/www/bejne/pGmWe3aNiKyqsLM
@alexyatsyuk702 ай бұрын
@@peterjuulsgaard does It mean you use a feather to nose as aiming technique?
@peterjuulsgaard2 ай бұрын
I use it as a trigger for the release. So I’m expanding slowly until the feather is touching the nose. A constant slow movement. When the feather hits the nose the release goes. So you have the unknown release. It have nothing to do with the aim. The brain takes care of the aiming by it self. The technique is to prevent target panic creeping in on you

@ThirdLawPair6 ай бұрын
Why did you test these limbs on a different riser rather than the riser they come with?

Hi Peter, your hunting skills are so good. Could you kindly teach us fast shooting? Shoot 3 arrows in 3 seconds? Please consider this scenario: When you are hunting on the ground, a grizzly bear starts to attack you twenty yards away from you. It pounces on you quickly, and you only have three seconds to shoot three arrows to kill it. Can you teach us how to accomplish this task?
