@@MusicFreak61594 TL;DR, LBJ and his wife Lady Bird Johnson invited Eartha to a White House function to “solve” the problem with underprivileged youth turning to delinquency or something like that when really it was just a façade for the wives of politicians to have a luncheon. She took that as an opportunity to speak out against the war in Vietnam which Johnson was escalating at the time. They didn’t like being called out to their faces, so they made it a point to disgrace her as much as they could and make it basically impossible for her to get work in the US. Then in 1974 it came out that the CIA had a dossier solely dedicated to investigating and disgracing her and a few years later President Jimmy Carter had their actions undone and IIRC he apologized to her personally for being essentially blacklisted (or as she put it herself “whitelisted”) from America.

She also spoke out for social causes and against the Vietnam war at great personal cost in 1968, directly to President Johnson and his First Lady. As a result and at their personal direction she was tracked and slandered by the CIA and lost all her contracts and roles. They wanted to make her invisible but they couldn't for long. She was the embodiment of the expression "They tried to bury us. They didn't know we were seeds."

Earths also was blacklisted from Hollywood for years because she was “Rude” to Lady Bird Johnson on live TV. When really all that happened was she attendant a luncheon with other women at the White House that was supposed to be about stopping “Juvenile delinquency,” and when it was apparent she was the only one there to have an actual conversation, she asked a very important question about how why Black and Hispanic youth seem to be disproportionately affected by by the Vietnam War than white youth. Also she was great friends with Jimmy Dean. She’s also performed on Broadway, so she’s had quite the exciting life.

I COMPLETELY forgot that early live action adaptations had her be black no wonder they’re changing her race now. See it confused me before bc it seemed out of nowhere that they were de-gentrifying her or whatever but now it makes sense. There’s actual historical lore precedence for swapping her race and that is incredibly exciting. It’s so extremely rare for an actual lore reason to race swap a character nowadays it’s usually just people trying to get brownie points, but the bat-family is batting 1000 on actual justifications. Damian is actually half Egyptian and quite honestly as an Arab myself I say he needs a slightly bigger nose. Just a little bit more triangle-ee. Thats right. Not triangular. Triangle-ee. Dick Grayson is straight up 100% Romani. which is why fan artists and official media alike (for example Harley Quinn) keep deepening their skin tones to better signify those heritages.

If you're trying to make Ho Chi Minh sound unappealing you're doing a bad job. I've seen more people have their lives ruined/ended by landlords than the other way around, IMO it's just self defence to fight back. Like swatting a mosquito -- only difference is mosquitos need to feed to survive, landlords *choose* to be parasites.
