Leaky gut, also known as intestinal permeability, is a real condition supported by over 18,000 research papers. It is linked to autoimmune diseases and various health problems.
Leaky gut occurs when the lining of the gut develops microscopic gaps, allowing toxins, pathogens, and undigested food particles to enter the bloodstream. This can lead to immune system overstimulation, allergic hypersensitivity, abnormal microbiome, inflammation, and nutrient malabsorption.
The triggers for leaky gut include stress, toxins, pathogens, infections, and certain foods. Leaky gut can affect multiple organs, including the lungs, heart, brain, muscles, fat cells, pancreas, and liver. It can contribute to conditions such as depression, schizophrenia, autism, Alzheimer's disease, chronic fatigue syndrome, diabetes, and liver diseases. Grain consumption is often associated with leaky gut and autoimmune responses.

Thank you Dr Osborne, I found your channel early 2019 and started with gluten free, then all grain free, bought your book, already stopped sugar and dairy, then went clean keto, realised a few more food sensitivities, now enjoying a high animal fat carnivore diet, it’s amazing and I feel so much better. You have saved my life, because I was in so much agony I felt suicidal, thank goodness I haven’t felt like that again.😊

Check out L-Glutamine, plant based. Works fantastic for me. One at bedtime and one in the morning and hour before eating or drinking anything. Rheumatologist said I should have been dead 14 years ago, but I continue to research and I feel the best I have ever felt in my life. No gluten, potatoes, tomatoes, dairy, eggplant and sugar. If your body is too acidic it will send you warning signs (autoimmune problems.)

My Mayo Clinic gastroenterologist told me there is no such thing. He said "Here at Mayo Clinic we base our medicine on clinical analysis from clinical studies. There have not been any clinical outcomes from studies because there hasn't been any. Therefore, we do not recognize leaky gut as a disease and will not treat it as such." I have been seeing him for 3 years and I am still at square 1. He won't even recommend a diet just keeps pushing fiber and I've told him, I can't take any fiber supplements or eat any raw vegetables because of the pain and constant diarrhea. Nothing has improved and they even removed my gall bladder to "help" with my symptoms. I have an appointment at Baptist Hospital in June and hope to get in to see someone there. BTW, when I first brought it up to him I did use the term "intestinal permeability" and he said, "Oh, you mean leaky gut" LOL!

@betty8173

No. Get his book, No Grain No Pain. It's at the library if you cannot afford it. Gluten is more than the fda says, and dairy can also be a problem. Eating organic, adding more fruits and veggies, eating only grass fed beef, free range chicken, etc.
