Agreed, you unlock the Skant after the tutorial. Also it is more fun to look at a creation when you give it a fun stance like "twitchy" or "seductive." Other than that, it's fun to uhhhhh to try to guess what the various star trek actors are up to besides voice work, these days? That was Quinto as the hologram, hows he doing?

@@hollandscottthomas Yeah, I absolutely appreciate the effort that goes into the more polished short video essay type stuff they do now, but I'm still always going to miss the era of more casual content where it was just them hanging out and playing games and stuff (that's probably why I also like Overboard, it's similar in just being them casually playing something). I'm the same in that I have NO interest whatsoever in games like pubg, but they always made it enjoyable to watch by doing their own little challenges and making up game modes and their interactions and etc. Sometimes it's just really relaxing to watch cool people chill and have fun I guess! I'd love to see more of that sort of thing again (though I understand they don't want to go in that direction anymore, and I support them regardless).

They were going through the tutorial, and the "revamped x3" version of it uses characters who are known actors for V.O. work, and puts them in weird places.

Pretty much every time they get someone who acted on one of the shows these days, they go back and replace the npcs in the old missions with the newly available character. Beloved character, sure, but it always felt lame because it was just them randomly showing up to say the same dumb things that you're trying to quickly skip through to get to something you hope will be more entertaining. They rarely do anything interesting with the characters they get (for example, they get Kern, the Klingon whose memory was wiped to spare him living with his family's dishonor. He just feeds y/ou standard quest instructions until. They just say in the background of a space battle "by the way you're actually worf's brother" and that's that.)

I really wanted to get into this game, and I really did give the space combat a shot. But they basically took most boring part of any episode, did it from the most boring possible angles, with the worst controls. I wish they had taken a cue from the shows, and gave us the option of a "technobabble" button to let us skip those parts.
