Omg I have no words to describe this video. The best GK material I've ever seen. I watched it twice in a row and added it to the GK Family WhatsApp group where I am, my son and his mom :(. Tomorrow after dinner we sit down with the family and think about a plan of action for my 11-year-old son. He's 165cm, weighs 55kg and I can't believe the progress he's made over the last 6 months. He trains 6 days a week and today he asked me about a gym membership. Tomorrow I'll buy access to your paid materials because I've been thinking about it for a long time, I promise. Today Filip got the gloves you recommend that you play in and we're impressed, I can't wait for the match. Thank you for your materials and someday I'll invite you to my son's match in the Premier League.

Wow, thank you so much for sharing this-it truly made my day! 🙌 I love how invested you and your family are in supporting your son's journey, and it’s amazing to see the progress Filip has made in just six months. Training 6 days a week at his age shows incredible dedication, and the fact that he's already thinking about gym work speaks volumes about his mindset and potential. 💪🧤 The Premier League mention gave me goosebumps - imagine the day when he’s playing at that level! I’d be honored to witness it someday. Thank you for trusting in my materials; I hope they continue to guide you both on this journey. Wishing Filip all the best for his upcoming match - keep me updated, and remember, enjoy every step of this amazing adventure! 🙏⚽❤️

hi Kristian. This video is extremly useful I'll make sure to start using all this info. I also need a little advice, Im 12 and play in Spain, so last friendly match it was against a team in a higher division, we won but I kept having an issue in which my team would pass me the ball, and while I'm good with the ball at my feet, this time I would look up and see a lot of options to pass to and that the stricker was not really approaching me and the moment I control and look up he is right in front of me while all my options that I had were marked. I am hoping to learn how to release the ball quicker and move effectively. Thank you and happy new year.

Hey there! Thanks for the kind words and Happy New Year to you too! It’s awesome to hear you’re playing in Spain and already taking on teams in higher divisions. That’s a great experience for growth! About your issue - it’s something many goalkeepers face, but it’s fixable with a few adjustments: 1. Scan Before Receiving the Ball Before the pass even reaches you, take a quick look up to spot your options and the striker's position. This will give you a head start. 2. Use Your First Touch Wisely When the ball comes to you, try to control it in the direction of where you want to pass. This saves precious seconds and keeps you ahead of the striker. 3. Communicate Early As soon as you spot an option, shout for your teammate to move into a better position if needed. Communication can help you create an outlet faster. 4. Practice Quick Decision-Making Set up drills where you receive passes under pressure. Have someone act as the striker and another as an outlet. Work on making quick passes or clearing when in doubt. Always have 2-3 or three options available in your head. 5. Don’t Be Afraid to Play Safe If all your options are marked, don’t hesitate to clear the ball long. It’s better to reset the play than risk losing it close to goal. 6. Stay Calm Under Pressure A calm mindset helps you avoid rushing or overthinking. Visualize similar situations in training and remind yourself that mistakes are part of learning. You’re doing great, and playing against tougher teams will only help you improve faster. Keep training hard, and I’m sure your confidence with ball distribution will soar in no time. Wishing you the best for your matches ahead!

Hello kristian,happy new year!... im a 13 year old goalkeeper, it has been 5 months since my wrist broke, i have not been in goal since 3 months Im also short and weak, can you suggest me some ways to prevent injuries?
@GroundGloryGoalkeeping2 күн бұрын
Hello! Happy New Year to you too! 🎉 First of all, it’s great that you’re recovering and thinking about getting back into goalkeeping. Injuries like wrist fractures can be tough, but with the right preparation, you can prevent future injuries and come back stronger. Here are some tips that might help: 1. Strengthen Your Wrists and Hands Wrist Strengthening Exercises: Start with light wrist curls, wrist rotations, and squeezing a stress ball. Over time, increase resistance with light weights or resistance bands. Hand Flexibility: Stretch your fingers and wrists daily to maintain flexibility and prevent stiffness. 2. Full-Body Strength Since you mentioned feeling weak, focus on building overall strength. Core exercises like planks and leg raises will help with balance, while push-ups and bodyweight squats will strengthen your arms and legs. Grip Strength: Use grip trainers or hang from a pull-up bar to improve your grip, which is crucial for catching and handling the ball. 3. Take It Slow After an injury, it’s important to gradually return to full intensity. Start with light training, focusing on footwork and positioning, before diving into more intense drills. Listen to your body, and don’t rush. With consistency and proper precautions, you’ll be back in goal with confidence. Remember, even short goalkeepers can excel with the right skills and mindset. Wishing you all the best in your recovery and training! 💪🧤

The guides 100% free. You don't need the self-training program or gym plan to download those. I'll try to be more clear about that in the future. Thanks for letting me know. :)

Hi are you saying for the A to E split for my free time for example Monday I do physical Tuesday do tactical meaning I skip gym that day and dedicate each day for the 5?
@GroundGloryGoalkeepingКүн бұрын
Hey buddy. Great question. You can do tactical (fx. analyze a Premier League goalkeeper) and gym work the same the day. You can also train outside (goalkeeper training) and gym the same day, no problem. The idea is that EACH session whether it's training outside or in the gym has ONE clear focus. What I meant in the video is to remember to rest also. If your body needs it, taking a day off or two is no problem. As long as you stick to your plan 🧤

Currently I do a push pull and leg gym routine and go 4x a week, and heard it’s not essential for athletes and shouldn’t train for muscles but power do you agree? Thanks for responding
@GroundGloryGoalkeeping13 сағат бұрын
Yes, I agree to a degree. A mixture of strength, power, and explosiveness is the way to go. You still need to be strong :) But training like a bodybuilder is a no go

I have a habit where I'm trying to save very low shots with my legs, no matter if it's close to me or far away. Any way to prevent it?
@GroundGloryGoalkeeping13 сағат бұрын
Hey buddy. I used to do the exact same. You're kind of throwing yourself after the ball with your legs first, "tackling". This is all about muscle memory. Dive, dive, dive, dive, dive. Practice. Practice. Practice. And use your hands over and over again. Think about it when you do it right and think about it when you do it wrong and would you should have done instead :)

Today we had a 2 matches in our school, in the first one, I was doing really good, saving hard shots, but in the second, we lost 5-1, at first I was doing okay, but they shot really hard and i couldn't save them, most of their goals came from just slightly right of my legs and i couldn't react in time what do I do , and I can't even dive because I'm scared, im in 7th grade rn
@GroundGloryGoalkeeping2 күн бұрын
Hey, thank you for sharing your experience! First of all, it's great that you performed well in the first match - give yourself credit for that! Bad games happen to every goalkeeper, even the best in the world. 1. Reacting to Shots Near Your Legs Shots close to your legs are tricky because they’re fast and require quick reflexes. Practice Low Saves: Set up drills where someone shoots low and close to your body. Focus on dropping your hands quickly to block or scoop the ball. Positioning: Stay on your toes, slightly bent at the knees, so you can react faster. 2. Overcoming Fear of Diving Diving can feel scary at first, but it’s all about building confidence. Have you watched this video? I'm sure it will help. kzbin.info/www/bejne/emmsdZmrjbRsadU 3. Mental Preparation Mistakes happen - don’t let them shake your confidence. Remember that every match is a learning experience. Focus on one save at a time. Forget the goals you’ve conceded and think about how to stop the next shot. You're in 7th grade, which means you have plenty of time to improve. The fact that you care about getting better shows your potential. Keep practicing, stay positive, and don’t be afraid to ask for help when you need it. You’ve got this! 💪🧤
