I didn’t really know bi was a thing so I used the argument “but I like boys”. Then found out what bi meant and had a full mental breakdown. It was a very long processing journey.

I also grew up really Christian, and oh my god, it took me so long to realize that I was pan/bi. Stupid homophobia and transphobia the church taught me :( so glad I unlearned it. I am now completely not religious (I’d consider myself agnostic atheist) but I’m happy for you that you found your own understanding of Christianity that is fulfilling for you

Here’s a thing, I’m not even gay and halfway through this video I’m like, if this isn’t the most solid advice about sex I’ve ever heard in my life I don’t know what is. The mental aspect is major, and even if you’re in a straight partnership your vibes can shift, and being comfortable with who is dominant in a situation, or talking about bad experiences you’ve had so that your partner knows how “not” to trigger you, is such a mandatory thing to bring up if you even want to take a chance at an orgasm… unless you’re just using the person as a hump machine, then it may not matter… but we’re talking intimacy here! Jade, such good advice, regarding talking to your partner about the things that you don't want to talk about. My best friend (who I'm maybe a little in love with...) have this kind of relationship despite not being in a romantic relationship. I've told her things I've never told anyone but my therapist before and I'm never scared to tell her things anymore (except the love part, but that's more because she's in a relationship and telling her would probably cause her stress and change the beautiful friendship we have).

as someone who's really come into my own re dirty talk in the last like year or so, it helps so much to have a partner who makes you feel confident & sexy in the first place!! someone who makes you feel like if you mess up it's not a big deal, someone who finds you sexy no matter what you do, etc. i also feel like you can be polite sometimes, especially if you're the sub - a good breathy "please will you ..." goes a long way. other than that, everyone wants to be told that they're hot, that they look and feel and sound good, what you want to do to them or what you want them to do to you, and that they're doing a good job. also, writing & sexting help a lot to practice finding things to say that are natural and come from the heart and also are sexy to you & your partner!!

I never tried to convince myself that I wasn’t gay because it just made sense. I had never explicitly labelled myself as straight and I had never learned about the LGBTQ community or even the possibility of being queer, I was just taught that everyone was straight. So when I learned that I could love girls, it just kinda clicked and I never really looked back
