That was something that needlessly preyed on her, and she might have said that in the moment. But she left because, much as she loved the boys, and what they did, she felt constricted. Her ambition was to sing all different kinds of music, including her beloved jazz, and that's what she did for the next twenty-five years, and indeed until the end of her career.

Judith comes alive as usual on "We shall not be Moved" despite that horrible orchestra trying to sound like a Dixieland band. But she looks ill, and I bet the occasion and circumstances were getting to her, although I believe she was excited at the next phase of her life. For her personally, her future husband was about to change her outlook (and diet) for good, and make her a healthier, happier, more confident person. But many of us miss that fabulous figure she had back then, let's be truthful.

The fifth song they do here, "I Wish You Could Be Here," was co-written by Paul Simon and Bruce Woodley. Another one from their joint pens, "Red Rubber Ball," became a near-million seller for a previously unknown group, The Cyrkle, at a time when Simon & Garfunkel were still far from that mark with any of their singles. The Cyrkle went on to a mediocre chart entry, "Turn Down Day," then they recorded "Wish You Could Be Here," which was, well, a flop. It barely charted at all in the States. I personally liked it best of those 3, and I'm pleased to see it featured here. And I encourage searching for The Cyrkle's rendition of it. I think they do a bit better on the musical nuances at the end of each refrain. That said, I'm a big fan of The Seekers, and I'm glad to see they have a bit of a "Smothers Brothers" feel to their banter. Fred
