For content I’d like to see: my favorite videos of yours (that I’ve been rewatching obsessively) are those about book lists. Books you’ve read, books that fall under a certain topic, etc. I’d also like to hear more about writing and the craft elements of that (maybe a video on how you get ideas bc I’ve been trying so hard to come up with short story ideas but I never can) and maybe you could share some more writing such as short stories or poetry.

i really resonated with your thoughts about people wanting to be heard in this fast paced, noisy online world. i feel like, for me , the internet has been a way of shouting your thoughts out into a void that wont hear you, especially in the early days of tumblr. the podcast does feel like an evolution from that as people on the internet not just typing out their thoughts and feelings and opinions, but actually verbalising them and feeling like their screaming into the bright, white, square void of the internet, actually is being heard, not just typed. this transition i've noticed between the not so joking self-depricating jokes of the early 2010s on tumblr to the not so joking jokes about being the best/ prettiest / smartest person in the world jokes of today is simultanious with the growth of visual media. typing out random stuff and knowing it wont ever be heard is on its own self deluding yourself into thinking that someone may actually care enough about what you have to say is really depressing, that's what, i think, played a part in the low-self confidence of the culture on early 2010s tumbr. but now we are purpousfully getting dressed up to record a tiktok once again deluding ourselves into thinking people care but the difference is that we believe it. me, typing this out now, is a product of this. i really enjoy and believe in the content people make about more self confidence and jokingly claiming to be the best but if we aren't careful a culture of blatant narcissism could grow out of this which could lead to us becoming unkind and only prioritising ourselves over others and falling into that cuthroat culture which the ecenomic framework of capitalism promotes (ugh i know it couldnt be a comment on youtube without a mention of personal politic). i really could waffle about this forever... i should start a podcast. anyway i've also been having alot of thought about this recently and that comment of yours about the self growing with others - i am paraphrasing but you get the gist. thank you for another thought provoking upload. i really enjoy the content that you put out about your musing they are almost philosophical and i love that. happy new year, lots of love. edit: the quote is 'growing together, via eachother' and 'recognition of the self, through the other' - it about the 13min mark

Podcasts are no more than an extension of TikTok or Instagram and the desire to be 'famous' and/or 'noticed'... when in fact 99.9% have nothing to offer outside of their own Ego. Personality's like our friend Dakota have earnt an audience... and may attract a need for a podcast... because the 'fan base' desires it. the rest is no more than spam

I would love to see more content on writing and creating, about the horror and beauty of it all, how you find inspiration and turn it into something. Perhaps I am curious because I’m a very intuitive writer and so I have the fear of being disconnected to my art. I would love to listen to you talk about how you find the seeds to create something. Do you find it in your own life experience or maybe make up a whole lifetime in your head and feed off of that.

Feels a little weird to suggest content to you, but heres what I would like to see in the future: The videos I tend to enjoy the most are those which venture out of the typical KZbin video format. Not just sit down and talking but more the cinematic, dark maybe even 'performative' videos, hinting at a literary lifestyle. I notice (and really enjoy) how you play with moods in your content, like the lighting in your love poem reading, generally your style of clothing and all that. As you mentioned, you (and most people on the internet) are kind of selling your persona, which is why I think these more life centered, kinda vlog inspired but more so little trailers of your life could be interesting. I think you have talent for film making. I imagine something like your paris vlog combined with you reading out cryptic poems as voiceover. I think it might be smart to sell your lifestyle as an author in London (!!?) over the book lists. But thats just my opinion, I guess I just really like those dark, velvety short film style vlogs as an art form almost. Think: your I am an angel who lies to god video For a more literature focused video format, I would also be interested in hearing your indepth interpretations of entire books, maybe even going through each chapter at a time (might be an opportunity for collaboration with others, even possibly as a podcast haha) Much love from germany

As for content i would love to see more: I love videos in which you just kind of talk, like this one in a podcasty way, that are also a bit more personal, like the video of 'how i became a published poet and fulltime artist', i reaaally enjoy those videos. Just because of your amazing way of looking at the world (and also the way you phrase your thoughts). Secondly I always love the book recommendations/reviews! I noticed more people mentioning those and I agree, I just need good books to read and love the way you talk about books Now that I am leaving a comment, I just want to say you are truly one of the most inspiring people in my life and have really made me value art and especially literature and poetry even more than I used to, so thank you for putting yourself and your ideas out there!

To answer your question, I'm interested in learning about your writing routine through videos that guide you on how to start writing and translate ideas onto paper. Vlogs documenting your process would be fascinating as well as the vlogs of your little adventures such as the one in Paris!. As someone who wants to move from Melbourne to London, I'd love to know what led to your move to London and how you made it happen as for the podcast it would be an amazing idea I would love to see! As for finding ideas if you wish to make a podcast there is one called Espresso Epilogues which is brilliant (they also mentioned you in an episode: Instagram Poetry!)

I really liked this style of video! Like, I love the more curated videos like travel vlogs or more scripted content, but I really enjoyed this rambly, tangent filled conversation. I feel like just how you mentioned that youforget we are people you can interact with, sometimes viewers forget the same of the creators whose content they consume, especially if it is the more “aesthetic” type of content.

i think across different art forms, self commodification of artists has always been and will always be a driving force, for better or worse. to distinguish artists from one another - through appeal, mystery, or shock value - the audience is human and seeking connection like you spoke on in the video

Though a podcast I would die for and swallow it whole. I’d love more of your almost video-essay style exploration videos of topics! I remember I couldn’t listen to any podcast until I found the right one. I still struggle sometimes with other podcasts I want to listen to but sometimes I just don’t have the energy to be present, I’m just there, hearing words surround me, but not being able to decipher them and take them in. I hope podcasts won’t be the new journaling method, like “oh you don’t like journaling, try this or that”. If you don’t listen to podcasts, that’s ok. If you haven’t found “the” podcast, that’s ok. If you don’t listen to a podcast religiously, that is perfectly ok. We shouldn’t feel the need to pressure ourselves to do certain things, regardless of business, family, etc. To pressure oneself to grow is worthwhile, while to burden oneself with a task is detrimental to one’s growth. Whatever you choose to do, we support you (well at least I do, I shouldn’t speak for everyone). I adore your content, poetry book, art, makeup, aesthetic, ideologies and philosophies, and it makes me soo happy you consider your work as a journal and art, because that’s how I feel when I take in your content: a safe place

@@mirthed6872 - Distractable, it’s def not for intellectual minds and for the faint of heart, it’s just for vibes and rambles. You mostly learn what not to do, but ya, there’s some interesting information but def not something you would take anything from other than enjoy life. Idk, it’s nothing special or anything related to this but I personally like it. I also listened to “ For the healthy hoes “ podcast and definitely learned a lot from it.

To exist in a public space is to perform in many cases, but I'd argue that the constant is actually to be percieved. If it's connection we're looking for, maybe the performance isn't necessary? I'm oversimplifying, but I like to imagine that this may yet evolve into an internet where people just make stuff without being beholden to being profitable or pleasing an audience. I'm not a content creator yet, but I'd like to be - and because I have audhd I know that I will not have it in me to mask (perform), ergo I have to make peace with being percieved as I am.

i'm not on tiktok anymore but i saw the "emma chamberlain should go to college" discourse on twitter and i think that's the dumbest take ever considering she's been very open about dropping out of regular high school because of depressive episodes and panic attacks lol (relatable, i almost had to do the same thing and would've done it if online school was an option where i live) i'm just so tired of this entitlement people have over others' personal lives. like, whether you go to college or not, in my eyes, is as much of a personal decision as getting married to your high school sweetheart. it's none of people's business and the fact that someone who's not aware of the podcast or the situation knows her from people thinking they know what's best for a stranger... it boils my blood in a really specific way. sorry for this unrelated rant lol it's just something that has been on my mind for a little while
