I loved her in the Star is born and plus she sung. Unfortunately I was very disappointed in this. Her Italian accent was terrible and plot or the story never seemed to go anywhere. Not sure if it was the acting or the writing but I was so excited to see this being old enough the true story. But she is not a good enough actress to carry a feature- sorry but that’s what I thought. Still a fan of her music and maybe the cast wasn’t that supportive to carry this off. But got say 👎

@@Anna-hk4pn This film is a Ridley Scott mess of a script. A series of semi true anecdotes fused together with melodramatic portrayals. AND- nobody in Italy speaks English with their Italian friends and relatives using an Italian accent while living in Italy! this was so stupid - so distracting - every character appeared to be a bad tempered clown. This was a bad comedy written by a half wit - YUK -

Really? Because she started out as an actress on MTV and failed at it miserably before she became a singer a decade later. She was horrible. Just like she was horrible in that star is born movie. He wasn’t a failure as a father, he didn’t abandon his daughters, that’s Patrizia’s version. Most accounts state that she was the one preventing him from seeing the girls as much as possible, and that she used their daughters as a weapon against him. In the book the movie is based on, there’s a passage about how in the mid 1980’s when Maurizio was in self-imposed exile in St Moritz, Patrizia had agreed to send him the girls for Christmas, only to refuse to let them go when his chauffeur came to pick them up. Maurizio had spent the whole day picking presents for his daughters in toy stores, and his chauffeur said he cried when he called him to let him know they wouldn’t be coming for Christmas after all.

I found it interesting that one woman caused the family to basically lose everything. The uncle wanted to keep control but wanted his nephew to some day take over. The nephew didn't want no parts of it. He was happiest working for his father in law and being a lawyer. The father's helper lied about no signature on the will and took everything. Patrizia wanted a piece of the pie and wanted her husband to be the one to take over. I don't see her as a gold digger. She was more ambitious then her husband and they may have taken Gucci further because she had that grit

PEOPLE are the reason for everything - both good and bad and neutral. Money just magnifies it.

This is a good life lesson what a damage could cause if you choose not to face with your worst fears. Many members of the Gucci family felt that Mauricio was not a good successor because he lacked innate leadership skills and a sense of business. All his life he struggled with the lack of identity, he was a pure hedonist, and the best he knew is how to spend and leave it to others to solve the problems. Patricia was born poor, but cunning, with sociopathic disorder. All her life she lived in a fear not to be poor again and regarding that, love for a man became dependable on his wealth. Her true face came out on surface when her mother married a very generous rich guy. After that, she did everything to stay rich. When the pressure from family and business activities became too great, Mauricio did what he normally does best - leaving others to deal with everything, while Patricia did her best - manipulation lead by fear not to loose her wealth.
