When I was 8 years old, Baker came to my city to sign autographs at a con. When I got there, the organisers (being the absolute bastards they were) placed him in the booth right next to Tom Felton. I walked right up and said, "you're my favourite doctor" and he seemed surprised. He signed, "to my littlest biggest fan". Still keep it as a good luck charm. The mad lad got arrested the same day for jay walking

​@@YoungButRetro Yes, but when I said "return" it implied the original medium where the character originally appeared, which was television. After all, he's still working at Big Finish, right? I'm talking in the present not the past tense. Sure, Big Finish is great at putting you in the mindset of the original show and it's an incredible revival, but don't you find it a bit disheartening that Colin and Sylvester are the only classic Doctors who haven't made a reappearance cameo in TV yet? It's not a big game changer for fans, but it's always fun to me when they bring something new to the live role. Personally, I would be up for it: the trailers for the blu-ray collection and the interviews suggest they're still going strong, albeit never younger...

​@@paulbeardsley4095 Probably not, but I think it's always possible to make a case for them, after all, Davison got the very brief Time Crash, Paul got a minisode and Tom got a few minutes on-screen (as a completely different character per se). All of those were interesting for how short lived they were so I think it's within reach. We got plenty of cameos, but neither Colin nor Sylvester ever appeared in person and I think their eras don't need that kind of shade again when they're such fine actors and they have proven that in recent years too. No matter how people feel about them, they carried the torch like champs when they were needed the most. And interestingly enough - they are more relevant now than ever, so there's an actual purpose to bring them back into the spotlight again.

I’ve recently fell in love with the sixth doctor through the audio dramas. Colin baker is an amazing actor And he was given scripts where he could truly show his acting talents. It’s no wonder he’s considered the best audiodrama doctor 😊

I've been revisiting his stories lately and listening to a lot of his audios. He's been in my top three favorite Doctors forever, and I feel like he inches closer and closer to number one every day. I consistently enjoy Colin Baker's portrayal as The Doctor. BBC politics shafted him way too harshly. He didn't have enough time to really shine. He is one of my top three alongside Tom Baker and Jon Pertwee in the "old" era of Dr. Who.

I really like a lot of Colin’s tv stuff Twin Dilemma is a decent plot with downright hilarious character Attack of the cybermen better than earthshock Vengeance of Varos is vengeance on varos Two Doctors Sontarans actually being sorta threatening and 2 and 6 are always a joy Revelation of the Daleks awesome cinematography, plot, acting and costuming. Also ultimate foe is easily the best of trial of a time lord.

Colin Baker as the doctor often gets overlooked due to the bad writing at the time, but I always found him unbearably funny. The ssrcastic off-brand remarks and facial expressions are amazing, he really acted his arse off to a point where he outstaged his silly coat.

From an in universe perspective it's really weird to think about how this is the same guy that will eventually engage in the the last great time war, and do all the dark and heavy things we see in new who, it's almost like the doctor went through a phase as he entered pubity and because he rushed through his regenerations he wasn't able to fully mature until 12 (which is technically his 13th regeneration but you know)

And that ''forgive me if I don't join you' quip relates to the moment he duped one guy into an acid bath before practically pushing another (he trips, because of course he does). Honestly, you can see the seeds planted as early as the Fifth. In his last adventures, he witnessed hundreds of deaths that he failed to prevent, including his own companion, and things only went downhill from there

I’ve argued, since his era was originally airing, that Colin Baker, himself, was the only thing that made his era watchable… so oF cOuRsE he got blamed for *everything else* (…thanks, JNT). Hells, if nothing else, he managed to wear that damn coat without having *it* wear *him* instead… if that makes sense.

Colin Baker's a very rare actor. It takes an extremely high level of skill to swagger around in a ridiculous costume that you hate whilst looking like you think you're wearing the most normal clothing in the world. And John Nathan Turner wasn't to blame. Michael Grade was.

I stand by the coat if only because with a rare exception the modern doctors clothing started to blend to me. 8, War, 9, 10/14, and 12 (11 too if it wasn’t for the bow tie) cover their heads there was a chance I couldn’t tell who wore what. I admit it’s a me thing but be they ever so tacky I prefer the bizarre outfits as a reminder of how alien the doctor is. Cover the heads of 1-7 I could say who is who at a glance.

I really think if Colin got the proper time to develop his doctor and sort out his arrogance he would've been amazing, very similar to 10 I think, entertaining, funny, wacky but still with that edge of arrogance and darker aspects, it's such a shame what happened but he's still great to watch in some episodes!
