I'm sorry, but I feel that opinion is really inexperienced and closed minded. I can think of 5 reasons off the top of my head without thinking too hard, which would influence people to commit violent crimes. People who've had safe, happy and privileged upbringing say stupid sh*t like this, having zero insight to how bad things can get. I'm not saying everyone deserves good behaviour. But it's very callus and entitled to blanket this for everyone.

@@ellemmenn2930 yeah I mean for theft and lesser crimes I think they can be rehabilitated but murder is something I find hard to justify. There's definitely some merit to religion for the psychological benefits in this context. (Of course when not taken to zealous levels). Similarly, a religious person, when faced with certain death, may take comfort that they're about to go to whatever heaven they believe in, and that sounds much better than just pure dread that you're about to die. Whether true or not.

As someone from the Caribbean I can totally relate. It's funny how when she said "It wasn't safe to be alone out on the street at night at this part of Cape Town" I was like.... This applies to pretty much my entire country. I used to think it was normal to burglar proof your house and barbed wire it until I came to realise... That in western countries many houses don't even have walls. Crime is so so bad here sometimes I would hear shootouts and near my school was a crime and drug hotspot. My school was robbed twice (IN JUST THE YEARS I WAS THERE) and even my home was robbed twice.
@nicola8588

@@ratemate458 dude, by the way you describe your home country, SA is so similar! We have to have electric fences, security teams, and dogs. If you can't afford all that, you WILL get robbed. As a woman, I can't go outside my home without pepper spray. I absolutely love to run and I cannot run outside my home in one of the most beautiful countries in the world. The poor people here in SA are way below the poverty line in western counties. Flippen sucks.

Petty crimes get longer sentences than rapists in this country. A convicted rapist was working in a post office who then raped & killed a girl outside of said post office in Cape Town in 2019, her name was Uyinene, she was a 19 year old university student. He just barely got a life sentence, I wouldn't be surprised if he gets let out on parole in a few years. The sad thing is, it's a common occurrence here in SA.

Yeah that's what I thought by the title. I knew about the Kentucky fried chicken murders but I didn't think that it happened at a steakhouse too

I'm so addicted to this channel that I have literally set myself a challenge to watch every single case on here. I've watched loads so far but still got plenty to go.

Thank you so much for mentioning the petition. Towards the end of the video I was thinking this cannot happen, this guy cannot be let out. And you've educated us and given us enough of a voice to help try to keep him inside. Thank u 💕

Usually “gang/drug” crimes aren’t to the level of malice this was. This seems closer to torture & death then. Random gang killing.
