Great video, though I partially disagree with your assessment that Strike From the Shadows is no good against vehicles - I run 6 Devastator Centurions equipped with Grav-Cannons and Missile Launchers, then given Deep Strike by Uriel Ventris. The combination of hitting on 2+, re-rolling 1s with the unit ability, then the ANTI-VEHICLE 2+ Grav-Cannons and strength 9 Missle Launchers means that, with the right positioning, you can hit everything on 2+, re-roll 1s, then wound everything on 2+, with extra AP and an added Battleshock test on whatever's left, then use Guerilla Tactics to do it again the next turn. The combination of that kind of damage, flexibility and reliability, coupled with T7, 4W, -1 to hit, Cover and Armour of Contempt makes them one of the hardest hitting and hard to kill units in the Codex. In any other detachment they're a bit of a joke, but Vanguard makes them absolutely terrifying.

Thank you ! :D That's sounds awesome, I hope many Ultramarine player will see this great combo :D Sadly for me this is not an option since I play Dark Angels from the very beginning, but to giving deepstrike is Spicy :D + as I heard Ventris is a great combination with the Company heroes so that's a nice all rounder unit with good OC and decent survivability!

IMHO this detachment is good I'm not 100% sure that its Better than the Gladius.... Nice Video tho

Well, the Gladius is also a Strong one but its only in the 3rd Place for me. After Vanguard spearhead, and the Ironstorm detachments, those 2 Gives you a great Detachment ability for the whole game not just for 3 turns, but then again I see the merits of the gladius too.

Hi! Currently the only change in the detachment is the "Shadow War Veteran" Enhancement. IMHO its a nerf -> 30 points Phobos model only: If your opponent targets one of the enemy units with a stratagem it costs 1 Additional Command Point. Good thing: You can increase the cost of multiple strategems. The bad thing : You have to be within 12 + phobos only and most of the times you phobos units do not want to be that close. Probably it still can work fine with Lieutenant with Combi-weapon althought it is much more risky. The other stuff stayed the same as far as the detachment rules go .
