Thank you and KUDOS for giving Kee Marcello some time in the spotlight. Nobody ever talks about him and his chops, melodic phrasing and iconic vibrato! Using hero for sure. I was scratching my head though when you were painstakingly calling out each individual fingering of the solo, when you could've just shown the tab like you did in the beginning of the video. But again thanks for the Kee props. Superstitious is one of the best solos ever for sure 🤘🏻

@RobertBakerGuitar - Haha - I stumbled across your video about your changing your picking style from the fanned fingers approach a while back. I also gave the closed fingers style ago as well, it took a very long time to get it to feel normal. Sadly, the old way found it's way back, well, I think I'm 50/50 or somewhere in between. Watching this video, I can see you are also sort of back and forth between styles. I'm laughing, because it was something that I never used to think about, and your video made me want to try changing. I'm glad to see you are also somewhere in between. I don't really play these days, so it's no big deal for me, I just noodle on the couch for relaxation. Good work as usual mate.

Just picked this up today. This course is SO worth the price of admission. I know my scale shapes and all, just have an issue turning them into musical ideas. This course does just that, but don't think you need to know all your scale shapes to get anything out of the course. He doesn't teach it that way, but points out how that's exactly what's happening. A genius approach and much appreciated. Hoping for some new "modules" along the way.

the art of the guitar solo hit its peak in the 80's, with the mix of skill intertwined with melody just doesnt seem to happen much these days, as well as the interesting riffs and rythyms made with smaller chords that aren't boring to play, i will never get tired of hearing this kind of thing

Robert when you do what your are doing at 3:00 does it require added hand or arm tension to do it or would you say the feeling of your motion is unchanged outside of its speed? I really struggle doing this without kind of tightening through the motion which in turn makes the acceleration far from smooth.

I was born in 1990 but I miss the 80's sound lol. I thank God my dad played all this stuff on his Marshall stacks when I was growing up. George Lynch was probably his favorite but he loved all kinds of guitarists. I really loved Chris DeGarmo of Queensryche and Vivian Campbell when he played with Dio. Influenced my playing heavily.

I feel like you might like the album by UDO - Faceless World. Unfortunately not an eighties album, but it is a highly recognized 80's artist however. Anyway, the riffs and solos on that album are memorable as F'''k, and it is more in the metal realm, but the playing sounds like it has a lot of that hair metal thing going on.
