Ehh. Looking back. It seems like he knew. But he wouldnt be able to nor was he in any position to start a war. He was clearly one of the if not the most intelligent boss of the show so he knew that crews in both jersey and new york behind his back cracked jokes about her. Ralph pretended to resepect him and went to him for advice on many occasions, with johnny even convincing tony ralph could be captain material and sparing his life. To johnny ralph not only insulted his wife, but had the audacity to do so after how much he helped him was the ultimate disrespect.
