If you blow into a silent dog whistle, the dog can hear it, but you cannot. I find this phenomenon useful when trying to understand what Swedenborg means when he say's 'change of state,' The spectrum of light and sound on our Earth are completely unique in the entire universe because a planet has a definite energy relationship with the surrounding heavenly bodies. This is the reason that we cannot see, by purely material means, any thing that grows, or is formed or made on any other planet, because our senses are adapted to this planet only. Our ears are slightly tuned differently than a dogs ears, we cannot hear the whistle, so considering the difference between ours and other planets, it is easy to understand why we would only see underlying universal substances common to all. Swedenborg said that we would see nothing but the basic underlying rock. Swedenborg was shown that time and space are not real, and that the ultimate reality is 'change of state'. Your presentations are very educational, and I enjoy your search for a powerful way to present Swedenborg's revelations to us. Have you ever considered using the Spiritual Diary as a synopsis and perhaps scripting the books into an illustrated series? Such as scenes like the first moment when he sees Jesus in the eatery in London, (which is almost identical to The hobbits first seeing Strider in the Bree Inn), then, he is warned by angels not to overeat and he is frightened and runs away, back to his lodgings, and who it is waiting for him there. Then he is taken down the hole in the ground to begin his epic Revelation. This event was the opening scenes of the second coming of our Lord to this planet. The Diary is the Newest Testament. It was this set of books that I cannot stop reading, and which made me totally love our beloved Emmanuel. I also Love you at your channel, keep up the great work.

Oh, yes, Spiritual Diary is an epic story, for sure! Some years ago I did see a short "graphic novel" put out by I think the Swedenborg Society, about Swedenborg's calling. Can't remember the details, though. Someday perhaps enough of a staff and budget will emerge to do dramatic film about those stories!

Maybe this is where Dark Matter and Dark Energy fit into the picture. Since scientists have no idea what this dark energy and dark matter are, maybe they compose the forms of beings which are invisible to us.

Recovering in the hospital as a child I had a couple of out of body experiences, maybe because of being close to death. I woke up to find myself in space out of my body. I saw the earth with the 3 heavens above and 3 hells. Space looks like it spans great distances in the material. But yes, it seems to be all about your state of mind. I actually think this is why NASA seems to make very little progress. We probably cannot physically traverse space. If you see the odd behavior of the Apollo astronauts when they returned from space, they looked shell-shocked. They shouldn't have been if all went as we are told. Astronaut Edgar Mitchell was interested in these types of topics, spiritual states of mind, and aliens. Who knows what they saw. I don't think they'd look nervous and terrified at their first press conference unless something unusual happened. Some say the missions didn't happen. Another possibility is they saw things they believed were too bizarre to tell the public. Space did not look like our material pictures really. The Dark Matter is full of energy. I don't think it took Swedenborg an hour to travel, I think it took an hour for his mind to adjust. Somehow the distance we see as dark matter folds into no distance at all outside the body. To travel to other solar systems would require travel in the astral and astral body. I doubt technology will ever overcome this. It might even be that dark matter is a barrier keeping unevolved civilizations isolated from one another. Just like our oceans were once an uncrossable distance, allowing separate civilizations to arise. So we have different experiences even on earth. So, if you want answers to these questions you have to evolve spiritually. This could explain stories were one person clearly sees a UFO, a ghost, etc, and others do not. To see more reality you must be evolved enough to handle that knowledge and be trustworthy, for lack of a better word.
@offTheLeftEye
@offTheLeftEye 6 жыл бұрын
Yes, definitely, the appearance of traveling that Swedenborg experienced was really the process of his mind adjusting to the mindset of another planet! And yes, there certainly are mysteries about what the astronauts experienced, and what is actually out there in the universe in terms of energies, objects and beings. I think you are on to something, saying that ultimately space travel will work the best in spirit rather than in the physical body. Howard Storm saw this during his NDE. He was shown a vision of the future of life on earth, and people were able to explore the universe through astral/spiritual travel, while their physical bodies stayed put on earth. What a beautiful scene you had in your own OBE! Thank you for describing it.

If i can offer a suggestion? There is no doubt the Swedenborg way is a more social way of interacting with other beings, much like phoning someone, not just turning up at their doorstep and expecting hospitality. But the direction our current thinking is going is that it could be a marriage of technology and biology and our consciousness will control the material universe to enable us to traverse it. What are your views?
@mountainmama9384
@mountainmama9384 6 жыл бұрын
bertbox69 I'm sure they're trying to develop tech that would allow us to travel in outer space. Maybe they'll be successful, but I can't see how. It's ironic, because we can already travel in space, out of the body. But they say the soul doesn't exist so very few people know this is possible and we're spending billions. Interesting that astronaut Edgar Mitchell studied states of consciousness. It was his passion, the powers of the mind, not technology. Spirituality, not machines. There are many hints that the astronauts are lying and saw unexpected things in space. They act extremely nervous, like they can't tell truth but want to. One of the most open was Mitchell and look at the direction his interests took him. We could travel via our consciousness. I'm pretty sure Mitchell knew that. I doubt technology will work. The moon is within the earth's bubble, aura, I'm not sure what it is, but the other planets are within the dark matter and can't be reached. I suspect God restricted travel to those who are more evolved and peaceful. You have to develop spiritually or die to have an NDE, but also an OBE. I doubt a violent, low vibration person could ever do this. This would guarantee that first contact between species would be peaceful, because only the spiritually evolved could make the journey.
@mountainmama9384
@mountainmama9384 6 жыл бұрын
Gemma Jane Brookes Yes, very interesting. They were so nervous at that press conference for Apollo. Was it fake or did they experience things they couldn't share? I think the best argument something fishy happened is the fact we never went back. I'm probably older than you. In the 70s, a Mars mission was 20 years away, they told us. They said the same thing every decade since and say it now, 50 years later.

This is a great show, so appealing to an old sci fi fan like me. Truth, in my view, has to be universal in order to be true. I especially liked the forms of religion on other planets. It's really not different from on earth. The idea that the invisible God is exalted beyond the comprehension of men, but is represented on earth by the "Lord" is true on earth not only in Christianity. Just as Swedenborg understood that the "Lord" of the planet he was visiting was the same "Lord" that Christians believed in can also be found in all the great world religions on earth. All religions on earth recognize a "Lord" Who lived as a man on earth and who they believe represents God. Baha'is use the metaphor of the Perfect Mirror reflecting the rays (Holy Spirit) of the Sun (God) to mankind. The Perfect Mirror is the Lord. The same Lord exists in other religions, even if the names are different. Perfect Mirrors reflect the same sunlight. It makes sense that this same process happens on other planets at least in their more mature stage. The Light and Love emanating from the Lord on any planet, or any culture and era on earth, takes a form consistent with the needs and capacity of the people at that time. So there is no final and perfect form of religion. Since mankind, or the people of other planets, is always progressing in its capacity to know and to love, the form of religion will also mature to suit the new state of the culture and mentality. We lived for several years on some very small Pacific Islands where "modern" culture was still rather new. In the traditional culture the people shared everything, especially with extended family. If one person ate, everybody ate. This became a problem when stores began to appear. If your relative owned a store, then he had to give you whatever you needed, even if you had no money. The upshot was that only foreigners were successful in business because they weren't related to any of the people. The people in the traditional culture were really happy and content because everyone's needs were met and accumulating material things as "wealth" just wasn't present. I think that this was the system of culture of all tribal peoples before cities developed. So the challenge now is to find a way to organize a culture where we can once again be freed from the fever of greed and to be just as concerned for the needs of every other soul on the planet as we are with ourselves and our own family. It sounds like other planets, maybe most of them, have achieved this. This was such a good show!
@offTheLeftEye
@offTheLeftEye 6 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for this, Harlan! I do think that a reason Swedenborg uses the term "the Lord" is that it is indeed a more universal term, not limited to only Christian religions. The other term he uses is the Divine Human. And yes, hopefully Earth humanity will eventually let go of being motivated by greed and get back to a simpler existence of just living life in harmony.
@harlanlang6556
@harlanlang6556 6 жыл бұрын
I think it's a done deal. Humanity has a divine destiny which is inevitable, no matter how tumultuous and rocky the path. World peace is inevitable because the alternative is unthinkable with nuclear weapons. Parents don't give up on their teen-agers because they know it's just a stage in maturing which inevitably leads to the stability of adulthood. Mankind is still going through the adolescent stage of growth which will gradually give way to the forces which will bring love and unity between peoples and nations. I think it is remarkable that Swedenborg did have such a universal understanding of religion. Even today, he would not be well received by most Christian theologians who are stuck in the thinking of the Dark Ages. It seems that only when individuals have the freedom of thought to break with the old forms of religion that new forms have a chance to show their wisdom and potential. I think that the present day falling away from Christianity by the Europeans and Americans is really a realization that traditional Christian thinking doesn't make sense any more in light of new scientific and historical understanding. They may call themselves agnostics or atheists, but I think that that's just an interim stage between the old forms and the new ones. This "falling away" is also happening in other traditional religions for the same reasons. It really is an exciting time to be alive.

It was amazing that Swedenborg asked great questions. I was a bit puzzled that the spirits of one place did not eat animals like we do on earth but that they ate fish - - that was a bit sad as fish are living creatures that have brains and feelings too (I really think animals are spiritually ascending better, feeling love more than humans whose mind is too much on "self".

I was thinking about what Curtis said about spiritual travel being “ changes in state”. He also did another video on that same subject, but I forgot which one it was, but anyway, thats how Swedenborg was able to reach other worlds. ...I wanted to add that I saw these German trans vision experiments of the late 80’s where “some” alleged spirits were able to project their “thought force” onto TV and computer monitors. One spirit who called herself Swejen Salter ( she looked human and spoke German) said she was from the lower spirit realms and had died in 1983 on a planet called Varid ( A twin planet of Earth in a parallel universe. They ( the spirits) claimed the transmissions stay in time and space until someone here on Earth is able to retrieve them. Well, I just had to put that in there. I don’t know what to make of it. In a related way, I think Swedenborg was not only able to retrieve these types of communications, but also to travel as well ( changes in state) with different levels of the spirit world. The more I watch the Swedenborg videos, the more I am able to learn and apply some of his principles👍🏻🙂

Oddly, I was watching a video about the New Earth and the person who projected there, if you will, said that people were, happily, living in trees. It’s strange and wonderful how the threads are weaving together as we prepare to make the shift into the Golden Age. I’ll have to look back and see if the Swedenborg team did a video on the Golden Age and how we get there. Hmmm, does this mean that Swedenborg traveled to the future, too or was the information given to him? I did hear the Golden Age mentioned in one video, I recall.

Thank you! Brilliantly produced (and fun!) to bring us into Swedenborg's experience. You helped me understand and feel the difference in context that the inhabitants of other planets would certainly have because of the unique history of their planet and how it would have developed anthropologically. I've thought about this generally many times, but this really brought it into focus. It makes so much sense that the design of the spiritual world takes into account this contextual difference for spirits departing their physical worlds, and that the lowest heaven accommodates this. The unifying aspect of the highest heaven, with the purest form of love as its essence, is totally understandable as well. I'm wondering now about the nuances of the middle heaven. What distinguishes it from the other two? This led me to S&L episode: "The Levels of Heaven" and the Arcana Coelestia excerpt, "The heavenly kingdom is the third and deepest heaven. The spiritual Kingdom is the second or middle heaven…people in the heavenly kingdom have love for the Lord at their core and charitable feelings toward their neighbor on the outside. People in the spiritual Kingdom, though, have charitable feelings toward their neighbor at the core and a faith resulting from charity on the outside. Clearly, then, charity towards one's neighbor forms the bond between the two kingdoms. The heavenly kingdom ends with it, and the spiritual Kingdom begins with it...so each takes up where the other leaves off.” This description left me wondering more about the lowest heaven and its distinctions compared to the middle heaven. Taken together, these two episodes piqued my curiosity to get an even clearer understanding of these distinctions and the evolution and path of our soul development as Swedenborg understood it. Can you point me/us in a direction for more research? Thanks so much for your great work! :)

Carl Godlove I had an out of body experience after dying and being revived as a child. I woke up in outer space in my astral form. I saw 3 layers of heaven above the earth and 3 below. In the lower heaven, we have astral bodies. In the second, the form of a soul. In my experience, your soul is roughly the size of your physical heart. I caught a glimpse of the final heaven through the eyes of a deceased loved one. It seems to be non-physical. We become Light or become unified with others, I'm not sure. We definitely become less material. I also got the impression that tolerating this change in state is only possible for the very evolved. It might also depend on how attached we are to the bodily form. Spirits are only allowed to see what they can tolerate emotionally. I could see the second layer of the hell realm, but wasn't allowed to see the third. I was told God didn't want me to see those souls in that state. Swedenborg is fascinating. He's descriptions match those of people who were revived after death. Even that though is subjective. Some spirits aren't open and see little, just the basics. Others see more. Two souls could see the same landscape in vastly different detail.

That's fascinating, Mountain Mama! Thank you for sharing. I have been a student of NDEs since the 1970s. I haven't had the experience but my father did when I was a child. How old were you when you had yours? And by astral body, do you mean an energy body that is dimensionally equivalent to our physical body? Thanks!

Hi Carl! This is Chelsea popping on here to suggest the episode "The Different Kinds of Angels": kzbin.info/www/bejne/bGKqhniaoJaDbpo. In that one we go over the different levels of heaven as well. One way Swedenborg talks about it is that the spiritual and heavenly levels are both internal, and then the natural heaven is the external counterpart to both of them. There are some diagrams in that episode that help to visualize the concept. So much to explore on this topic! And I was blown away by the unifying aspect of the highest heaven. It makes sense and is so cool. So glad you enjoyed the show! Thanks for sharing the thoughts it sparked in you!

Carl Godlove Yes, astral body may not be the best term, it's just the one I know. It looks just like our normal bodies, just less dense. Your senses expanded exponentially. I saw particles of light in my own, especially when I touched something. Telepathy is not a great word for communication. It's not just words, it's feelings, impressions and seeing what other's see through their eyes. Lower spirits don't seem to have this ability. Like spirits attract like. I was 9. In the normal world, I only survived because my mother happened to be a nurse who revived me. Actually, God wanted me to return and I agreed, with conditions, believe it or not. Those were met. I also recovered extremely quickly, as I was told I would. You're so fortunate this happened to your father. That's wonderful. Not that he died, but that he could share it with you. I don't actually believe NDEs are increasing because of life saving technology. I think God wants us to share our experiences. Free will remains, but we're getting some extra guidance. I know some fear an apocalypse. We are moving toward some transition, but I know I'll be fine. We all will be. I suspect one reason death is terrifying is the amnesia we know is coming. Also, we may not have lived in harmony with our higher selves and in some way our earthly ego, that part of us, does seem to die. Nothing is lost, just forgotten. When I pondered why, when I was there, I saw that the brain has limitations. Those who remember are more integrated with their higher self. We integrate with it upon death. If we keep those channels open with good behavior, we remember more.

Thank you, Chelsea! I re-watched the episode you referenced and it sparked some additional thoughts. I have a background in ontology (one’s way of being), and can see things through that lens. Caveat - this is all just food for thought. I am speaking with absolutely no authority whatsoever on this topic! :) Our ontology, our way of being, the way we instinctively move through life, is governed by what we have deeply internalized. Here’s a simple example to show how it can shift. If you’re typically inclined to wait and hold a door for someone behind you, you automatically check if anyone’s close and then wait and hold the door if someone’s near without making a conscious decision. There is no internal debate except for the timing. If, on the other hand, you blow through every door by swinging it open and blasting through it, oblivious to anyone else’s need to pass, you generally do that too without making a conscious decision - there is no second thought. If you’re inclined to the latter behavior, but have come to know that the former is a kinder, more loving way of being toward others, and that’s a practice you’d like to adopt, you will consciously work to change that practice until holding the door is automatic and becomes your natural way of moving through a doorway. After a while, you’re ontology in this regard shifts permanently and it’s no longer a decision. It’s a habit. You pass through doors with a heightened state of concern for others who may be following. Ontological shifts are often progressive, like this example, and similar to Swedenborg’s description of how the the heavens “progress.” The third and deepest heaven (heavenly kingdom), meets the second, or middle heaven (spiritual kingdom), at the common state of “charitable feelings toward their neighbor.” This state of being progressively rises to “love for the lord” in the heavenly kingdom, and progressively descends to “faith resulting from charity” in the spiritual kingdom. That’s how the difference strikes me between the deepest heaven and the middle. Angels in the deepest heaven have love entirely internalized. There is never a need for them to conjure or debate a response or what action to take. Every action and reaction is simply the most loving possible. They reflect the state of the Lord. There is no language per se involved, because there is no processing required for discernment, no internal debate. The middle angels, however, even though they are exclusively inclined toward loving responses, must first “move” to this response through a “discernment process,” otherwise known as “wisdom,” regarding what is the most loving response, i.e. what constitutes charity toward their neighbor. Then they act on their wise discernment, a.k.a. wisdom. Perhaps the natural angels, being under far more sensory influence, must process an even greater range of experiential influence and discernment to act through their love state of being, drawing on the faith developed through acts of charity toward their neighbors. This subject also causes “heaven inside you” to make so much sense. This is such a logical progression from learning about charity as a way of being, to choosing to express charity as your way of being, to developing faith as a result of your charitable way of being (which I take to mean you experience the love exchanged in that experience), to arriving where you simply live in love as your natural state of being.

Some of us descended to provide "real time" support while others are behind the veil offering support. But we're all cycling to ascend. It feels strange to consider one ascending beyond their soul group kind of like leaving someone behind! Not everyone is prepared to meet and greet their galactic neighbours! But then energy is fluid like so we are everywhere all the time and never really leave anyone? So what about that distance that occurs when there is tension between people? Amazing episode. Swedenbourg was 100% correct. Many of us know exactly what he experienced and is very similar to modern day remote viewing. The third eye opening all starts with deep meditation. It takes years of deep meditation. I always thought RV was detatching the soul from the body. Acording to declassified military protocols the mechanism of why this works is just unknown but absolutely proven to work. Many times multiple blind remote viewers coroberating the same data gathered.

What did Swedenborg say or elude to in relation to Evolution in terms of Darwin? I think in his time that theory was not really talked about but did he mention something or?
@offTheLeftEye
@offTheLeftEye 3 жыл бұрын
Swedenborg died in 1772, and Darwin wasn't even born until 1809, so that particular theory of evolution did not exist when Swedenborg was writing. Though that is something we on Earth really wonder about (how physical life and creatures progressed on planet Earth), it's not something that I've found Swedenborg directly commenting on. His focus is more on the spiritual reality and forces behind all life on Earth. He does have some general information on creation itself though, which we shared in the two episodes "God Used a Specific Design to Create Heaven" kzbin.info/www/bejne/qHelpYV6hdWYi9U and "The Pattern of God Has Been Built Into the Universe" kzbin.info/www/bejne/bJmciomigJhjjNU However, it WAS a big deal that Swedenborg opposed "creationism" in the sense that he said the Biblical creation story is not supposed to be taken literally -- that it is a symbolic allegory about the recreation of our minds, rather than a description of how planet Earth was created.
@yellow6100
@yellow6100 3 жыл бұрын
@@offTheLeftEye Yes,he did oppose the literally creationism . Of course ,that does not mean that he would agree with Darwin perhaps even "close enough" . @@yellow6100 Evolution is rather perception that we experience.......this, given our experienced sense of linear time. Thus, we also think in terms of a beginning and an end. It's all perception. All already is, including that which we refer to as god, or consciousness. Needless to say, there is no outside of god, or consciousness. If this is so, evolution is nothing more than a concept. You are already! All you're doing is exploring that which you already are (you are one with god/consciousness). This continual, never ending exploration of self is not to teach us anything, it is not to help us evolve or become something we are not already. This is something hard for the human mind to wrap itself around, but that's what it is. How do i know? Once you experience your oneness with 'all that is', you then understand that there is no separation, that you are already whole, and much more. BTW, we didn't evolve from monkeys or anything else we might want to think of. Through time, we changed certain aspects of our physical appearance. Monkeys and chimps are a totally different species.

Excellent presentation Curtis and Jonathan. I downloaded the pdf on “Earths in the Universe” and I have a few questions. In paragraph # 58, he references the spirits of the earth Jupiter do not prepare their food for taste but “ with reference to use;...” it goes on to reference that there is a diet that is good for a sound mind and body. My question is does Swedenborg ever describe what is the best diet for man? My speculation would be one of plant and fish origin as you speak of in this video. On the second point, in #61, the Jupiter spirits don’t like to associate with spirits of earth because lack “interior perception” and see them with “evil arts”. I understand that we bring what we love into the next life, but isn’t there some kind of equalizing process once we leave the physical and become spiritual? I’m sure some would still have some negative characteristics, but aren’t there some of higher minds and kinder and wiser that could represent us? And finally, also in #60, the spirits of Jupiter are “afraid of cultivating the intellectual faculty by worldly sciences.” The implication I take from that is that they have other means for learning about the world in which we live. I can understand that science is a way to learn about our world, but it should always be considered only a tool of learning and never establishing ultimate truth. For example, in the 1920’s, our universe was our solar nebula. Hubble brought more information to science. Einstein further broadened our understanding of science with his space-time declaration. According to my Science teachers, the smallest particles were protons, neutrons and electrons. In the 60’s I believe Murray Gell-Mann discovered smaller parts of the atoms called quarks, The accelerating universe wasn’t known until the late 1990’s. And etc). Science is a very good way for us to learn, but it is only a process. So, are the spirits of Jupiter implying that there are ways to learn of the secrets of the universe through a more intuitive process or that the knowledge of such things is not necessary? I can see living without technologies that bring the world closer and make it more complex as being expendable, but of the science of medicine where live expectancy is increased and people are cured of Polio or other illnesses. This seems a worthwhile process. Sorry for the extended question. Thanks, Tony
@offTheLeftEye
@offTheLeftEye 6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the great questions, Tony! Swedenborg didn't lay out an ideal diet for modern humans. He did say that the earliest people on earth had the same kind of diet that the spirits of Jupiter described-- mostly plant based, with some fish -- so in one sense that is the ideal diet. He himself became mostly vegetarian, eating very simply, and having meat only when he dined at other homes. But I don't know how it factors in that our physical bodies have adapted for thousands of years to a diet different than that, and also that our plant-based foods have lost a lot of nutrition due to modern agricultural practices. What I mean is, I (Karin) personally believe that we should and will get back to that pristine diet eventually, but we may need to gradually get a lot of things back into alignment before that will be practical for everyone. (Some body types seem to do great with a vegetarian diet, for instance, and other people struggle to get enough nutrients that way.) Regarding your second point, watch our show "Did Jesus Appear to Aliens?" because in it, Curtis and Jonathan talk about the unique and important role people from Earth play in the grand scheme when we clean up our act and reject self-centeredness and materialism. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fp-VmJ2apq2ahdU And regarding the third point, I think the same show will offer you answers about that, and yes, the spirits of Jupiter learn with a more intuitive method, but our way of learning on Earth also has value. Different methods for different kinds of humans!

As all matter is held together spiritually, you wonder about an electron orbiting an atom or planets orbiting a star. An entire universe could maybe exist inside an atom? The phenomenon of space is not what we may think? Einstein’s spooky action at a distance? It’s all connected somehow...... Fascinating stuff! They say the universe is a giant hologram that’s outside of our telescopic reach as well as microscopic inner space. offTheLeftEye Your Welcome! ......I thought the creativity of this video was very imaginative! I felt as if I was riding along with Curtis and company to new and interesting worlds......This is all so exciting! I would like to add something that Jonathan Rose said about Swedenborg’s description of Heaven being “ like a giant human being in terms of function, and all these different planets actually play a role in that one unified form”..... in a way it sounds like this: There is an idea put forth that the universe is a living , giant being ( Jehovah) and we as human beings made in His image are miniature universes in ourselves containing millions of corpuscles. The components of each corpuscle imagine themselves to be in a world of their own , though they are aware of other universes around them. If space is limitless and endless, then don’t you see, the opposite must be true , smallness never ends either but continues being tinier and tinier just as the enormity of the universe becomes more and more enormous..... I had to put that in there because God never ceases to amaze me in so many ways! And the GOOD news is that GOD is loving and merciful! Thanks for reading this long text, I sort of got carried away with “ The Spirituality of Aliens” ( LOL🙂) 🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️

Wow! All of the props and images and video clips made it feel sort of like a movie! It makes sense that The Highest Heaven would have Spirits from different worlds there since The Highest Heaven is also called The In-Most Heaven. I guess The Deepest Heaven would be the most Connected, Unifying, and Loving and if a Spirit goes more and more outward (from Inner Heaven to Outer Heaven to hell and the most distant level of hell away from Heaven), it becomes less Unifying and more divisive and warlike without a Love For The Neighbour.

@@offTheLeftEye So imagine a world where scientists on earth develop a machine that can make food from the atom up, based on Einstein's equation E=mc^2 (the relationship between matter and energy). So with food being as cheap as water, humanity gives up the whole capitalism vs communism fight between, and focuses on becoming better people. Around the same time humans meet Vulcans - an alien race that had nearly become extinct from their wars, but adopted a rigidly logical and pro science view to develop a semi "heavenly" society where everyone gets along. When humans meet Vulcans, the human race gives up greed, and it becomes what socialism should be under ideal circumstances. Everyone has the basics of what they need to survive, so we reach the point where there hasn't been a murder on earth in over a century! Gene Roddenberry believed that the human race would "grow up" and stop acting like schoolyard bullies. As we explore space we find what we perceive to be dangerous aliens, but we can just negotiate with them or leave them be. Other super advanced aliens often say we have potential to grow from being savages into a great civilization. William Shatner/Captain Kirk era from the 1966-1969 TV show. In another hundred years or so, Earth becomes a founding member of an interplanetary UN, called the United Federation of Planets. The Next Generation, Patrick Stewart/ Picard era from 1986 and beyond. Picard is less of a tough guy, more of a Shakespeare loving diplomat. His superpower is being in the middle of two armies that are just about to fire the first shot, and talk them down so they find a hopeful solution to avoid war. As an atheist I learned about ethics from Trek. I found it when I was 14 and it taught me about loving thy neighbor in ways that Christians don't want to understand. Roddenberry was probably an atheist, but really taught me what it means to love thy neighbor better than anyone else. He believed that humans could create heaven through science. As I learned about Jesus, I had always had a concern about Roddenberry's fate. He passed away around 1991. If his stories are representative of his heart, he was more holy and influential than most Church leaders. However I understand he was promiscuous. Thus I truly worry about his fate.

How amazing that it could teach you about loving the neighbor in a way you could really hear and see acted out. And from a writer who did not himself believe in God. It sounds like you care about others, even Roddenberry's eternal fate and potential for true marriage. Your kindness sounds genuine, and inclusive. Bless you for that. @@offTheLeftEye Hi Lori, I'm actually an Autistic Neuroscientist. I just found out about Swedenborg about six weeks ago. I had given up hope for the future because of the rigid rules of Christianity up against my Autism. Swedenborg's book on marriage has cleared out so many things in my understanding of what love is supposed to be. I thought I had missed out on things like spring break and burning man. I would probably find them empty. Like Swedenborg, I very well might not be able to get married in this life. But I am hopeful for a perfect marriage in the next life. I actually would love to talk with a Swedenborg neuroscientist. I read that in the next world we forget everything about science. But I also saw the video where Swedenborg predicted the importance of cortical neurons and the cerebral aqueduct. In my heart I consider myself to be a neuroscientist even though I haven't worked in the lab since 2018. I still love the ideas. I went into neuroscience because I wanted to understand why I felt sad all the time. Jesus gave me a solid answer in terms of the neuroendocrine stress response, which I suspect is more reactive in Autistic people. Until this video I thought the highlight heaven would be too strange for me. But I think Jesus is tugging me in that direction. I trust Him. I wouldn't be a PhD without His magical divine intervention.

I wonder if there is some info on Inter-dimensional type of beings such as ETs, the Tall Whites. or ETs that are able to materialize or become invisible at will. Will keep on with the search. What an interesting journey. I never really imagined it could be like that, but it does make a lot of sense. By learning, we are picking up the bits and pieces and putting it all back together. Maybe at some time in the remote past, like the Garden of Eden for instance, it was all there but by our own greed, lies, and other bad emotions, it was lost but not destroyed, only existing in fragments waiting for some future generation like us to rebuild it again.

I had objects literally appear from thin air. God has the Einstein Rosen Bridge equation. The year before I left Gardner, my ex Lambert and I were walking around and came upon a box of free yard sale stuff that didn't sell. I found a little teddy bear with a $20 home made price tag stapled on the paw. I joke to Lambert that there must be something very valuable inside this Teddy Bear for it to be $20. I took it home and put it on our bed. Sometimes when Lambert and I argued I would hold up the Teddy Bear and joke, there must be something very valuable inside this Teddy Bear for it to be $20 July 2015 I left to travel and left most of my belongings. Valentines Day 2016 I went camping by myself by Los Angeles. I told no one. When I came out of my tent Valentines Day morning the Teddy Bear was sitting outside my tent with the homemade price tag stapled back on the paw. Of all the valuable and sentimental things I left I often wondered why God picked that. I think its because whats inside is, our hopes, our dreams, our souls are worth more than a bauble in your hand. P.S. when I called Lambert about the Teddy Bear he said he didn't know where it was. He had moved from our flat.

verry interesting Holmes:) loved it, why do you think it is we cannot meet our spirit guides when we are ready? or and most importantly is this Jesus himself loving us as a brother and lord and his time is not here yet, because I know someone is intervening for me and guiding me? and I have asked to meet them, just curious and I am not demanding because I do appreciate the care and love, support I am given by this spiritual guidance...also as I recognize and act more spiritually, I have a feeling of needing more protection....I am not sure but I think it has to do with crystals, stones (frequency changes), maybe by meeting my spiritual guides I would be in more danger than the annoying attacks that have been happening already; they do seem on a physical level; its very hard when its not clear and maybe I need a spiritual routine, did Swedenborg have a routine he followed daily to bring him in and out of his spiritual wanderings about and changes? love, T.

Hello, Terri! I think you're right to consider that we can't know what is really the most safe and beneficial route for us in regards to the spirits who are near us. A big part of why we cannot easily access them is for our own protection. Swedenborg developed easy access between worlds, but he sometimes went through very frightening and painful experiences due to evil spirits until he became more spiritually developed. Here is a show we did describing 5 ways that he would move from earthly to spiritual awareness: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hHesfIZ6e9eCe6s

4:30 How that works. It probably would help to believe that all time is simultaneous before considering how so many alien worlds can co-exist with ours in the same space. If time is simultaneous - and how could it not be? How can there be an end to the end or a beginning to the beginning unless that is so? - then distance cannot exist either. Before distance existed, time was used to measure it. 10:00 “He is too powerful for them to dare to worship him.(it)” What do they mean by ‘worship’? Lying prostrate on the ground before it? Kowtowing? Jumping up and down, kneeling, singing, praying, for 60 minutes once a week? Did the Angel tell them to do that? Or did they think that up themselves? If so, why did the Angel not tell them that the entity they call Almighty God doesn’t create creatures to sit around it and sing songs praising it? Or does it? I will be meeting this entity soon so I am interested in this question.
@offTheLeftEye
@offTheLeftEye 5 жыл бұрын
Swedenborg did see that the perception of time and the perception of distance are very related to one another, so yes, I think it can help to think about those two concepts together. People in the afterlife are not limited by the restrictions of physical space or linear time. Concerning the aliens thinking God was too powerful to worship, I think that is similar to earthly religions that see the need to turn to an intercessor rather than directly to God, like to a saint, for instance. Swedenborg didn't describe the particular rituals of that group, but in general he wrote that angels are not going to stomp upon religious rituals that people have become attached to while they are living in physical life. People are in freedom to practice rituals that feel meaningful to them, and God and the angels can meet them where they are. In the afterlife, they can be taught a deeper understanding of how to serve and work with God. You are correct that God is not interested in people worshiping with particular external rituals. The true way to worship God is to live a life of goodness and integrity - to resist harming others and to offer compassion and service to others. External rituals and practices can be an enhancement to that, but genuine worship is a way of life that is working in partnership with God's love, allowing it to come through.

Hi Robbie, I believe finding God is very easy. He is found in Love (the good kind of Love) and in Wisdom. Since we are all different He caters to all of us in different ways. Some of us are easily awakened by Love and do not require any heavy understanding to feel close to the Lord. Some others require a continuous stream of technical information to feel close to the Lord. No one person is better than the other, both contribute to the whole. I believe if I am not mistaken that Swedenborg said that a general rule is for males to be inclined to the Wisdom (knowledge) and females to the Love. That both possessed Love and Wisdom but one tends to be predominant. I imagine that some males can have Love as the predominant or women can have wisdom as the predominant but it is supposedly not the rule. Also, I found out that when I feel the information is to complicated to understand or remember, I have maxed out my threshold for that particular stage in my life and I need to focus on practicing more instead of understanding. Once the knowledge sinks in, i move to the next chunk of information. Logopraxis is really good about the practice part so you get to incorporate it into your life. You don't need to feel pressured to accept or digest everything. We will be learning for eternity so you can just relax. To me if feels like when you have been studying the whole day and you need to sleep for the night. You feel ready to learn more after a break. After this life we will advance only to the point we feel comfortable with, the Lord never forces anyone to accept anything and we can resume our learning when we feel ready, isn't it wonderful? Customized learning? the left eye will let us know other thoughts.

@offTheLeftEye
@offTheLeftEye 6 жыл бұрын
Totally agree with Happy Heaven. Robbie, I'd first like to respond by saying that I hold your frustration and honor it. Trying to understand God, or see Him, can be daunting at times. But let me clarify something-- God shows Himself in a few ways, all of which keeps us in freedom. He shows up, as Happy Heaven noted, through love. Each time someone thinks and acts in a loving way, they are simply vessels of God's love flowing through. In this way God preserves our freedom to choose Him or not. If His love were to be readily apparent through Him only, we would have no choice to believe that He exists and is working on our side. If we had no choice, that would invalidate God's love for us. Do you see why it needs to be done this way? God's primary way of showing us how to receive His love is through sacred texts. I've found Swedenborg's writings to be a revolutionary blueprint for understanding how and why God works the way He does. But I'm blabbing on now...we actually did an entire episode responding to your question. Please know that this community is here to support you. I've read this book. Not sure Jonathan Rose is exactly correct in the first statement he makes about distance and travel. Swedenborg says that time and distances are not as we imagine them but rather a matter of " inner condition". Therefore distance is no object to 'spiritual' travel*. It is irrelevant to out-of-body astral travel. Maybe there are other Swedenborg quotes that slightly contradict this ... must admit Dr Rose is the expert.... maybe this is even what Dr Rose was saying listening to later comments. * I am referring to "Earths in our Solar System which are called Planets and earths in the Starry Heavens, Their Inhabitants and the Spirits and Angels There" ... surely the longest book title in human history) This view of our universe and its time and space is in complete concordance with the most modern (and increasingly popular) model of the universe postulated by quantum physicists, including Tom Campbell, who promote something called the "Simulation Model" i.e. that our universe is VIRTUAL, like a computer game wherein the only "real" elements are units of individuated consciousnessness (e.g. ourselves) and the programming "Absolute Unified Consciousness" that is "the big computer" (what we tend to call "God"). All such discussion is, of course, by its very nature metaphorical just as in a real sense our virtual universe is metaphorical but seemingly necessary for consciousness like ours to experience itself as an active evolving entity. As I see it Swedenborg and campbell are saying the same thing other than Swedenborg describes consciousness in terms of familiar spirits and personalities (i.e. how we actually experience other spirits) whereas Campbell talks, with that slightly autistic coldness that characterises scientific jargon, in terms of consciousness as ordered or disordered digital information. However, Campbell's "My Big TOE (Theory of Everything, a great read by the way) reveals him to be a very funny guy. See here for one of Campbell's talks: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y5CbZJdog8yLfZo

I understood Jonathan's comments to be saying the same thing you are articulating, so perhaps just the wording didn't come across clearly. It sure is amazing and wonderful how the study of quantum physics is affirming the dynamics that Swedenborg observed, even if there is different terminology and concepts being used to describe it! Thank you for the recommendation and the link!

During the past 5 years or so I literally sense time passing very quickly .I could swear a year to me is like seven or 8 months.In addition to that (and this one's hard to explain) on a few occasions I've felt like I I am in the past present and future all at the same time! Have you seen our show "How to Live in Eternity Now?" kzbin.info/www/bejne/ooCQgJ1tmt2LeZY In it, we talk about how the experience of how quickly time passes has to do with our state of mind. As for having a feeling of being in the past, present and future at the same time, I think that would have to do with tapping into the reality of how beyond physical existence, there is no such thing as fixed time! That every progression has to do with states of mind, and what is useful and desired in any given state.

I'm so glad you feel our channel is a haven on KZbin, Luwana. There certainly are people that don't like what we're doing here, but we want to keep offering help and hope and the truth of God's Love and a bright picture of the afterlife! Thanks for being part of our community here!

But disappointingly, Nye is a proponent of evolution and science outwaying spirituality. Ive seen his show be dismissive about anything spiritually inclined.

@@Dee-xu1yk try telling Nye that. I'm sure he would be more concerned about losing his mainstream viewer base, lol
