She’s such an incredible person. It’s so upsetting how much hate she gets just because she’s herself. But it’s admirable that she never lets that hate stop her from being authentic and true to herself. Grimes is wonderful. Edit: Please stop coming at me for liking Grimes. I don’t like the fact that she’s dating Elon Musk either but a person isn’t strictly defined by who they fall in love with or are dating. Grimes has done a lot to help with what she believes in. She just doesn’t boast about it because, surprise, she doesn’t do it for clout. Grimes has also been seen trying to change Elon’s thinking when it comes to the things he shouldn’t be hateful or wrong about. Again, I don’t like that she’s dating him either but stop acting like who she dates and falls in love with defines her entire being. You will never know her personally, nor will I, so please stop.

I liked her but it's jarring how easily she let go or her values to make sense of her being with Elon Musk. She literally let go of things she believed and spoke often about which makes me think she's very empty and superficial person, only doing things for aesthetics and switching it up when something more shiny comes along.

Art Angels is such a great album! “Flesh without blood and Life within a vivid dream” are my absolute favs. Of course this is another album you can play straight thru. I never paid much attention to an artist point of views so it never mattered to me what she said. I’m here for the music. We are all human and have our own opinions.

Not to mention that the only reason Grimes didn't want to release it was because of the drama with Mars (at that time everyone was spitting on Poppy because no one was aware that it was Titanic (her manager) who was forcing her to make references to Mars because he manipulated Poppy into threatening suicide, leaking her personal photos and everything). Grimes was just thinking about her reputation and I totally understand her for it (since no one knew what Titanic was doing to Poppy). But she could at least have credited her for We Appreciate Power

The worst part of all of this is that if Poppy had managed to get rid of Sinclair (which were casually impossible due to her psychological hold on her) all this drama would not have happened and her collaboration with Grimes would have resulted other great songs. Besides that, you can't say that "I Desagree" was a shitty album considering the feedback from the critics and the superb metal experimentation that Poppy produced. Honestly "fans" like you are the only real problem with Grimes and for Grimes.

Her last (... well, ok, most RECENT) great period of her career. Not to say the Elon and Miss Anthropocene and pseudo-cyberpunk-queen stuff hasn't been interesting in its own right, and I still honestly like her latest music and have tons of respect for her art and her craft... but even if it wasn't completely her fault, her career since Musk came into the picture has mostly felt like tabloid fodder and Silicon Valley-inspired vapidness. Nothing lasts forever though so I'm not entirely pessimistic, either...
