@lesliebean45943 жыл бұрын
@@hansolo631 I had considered that. But, there was no real motive to my understanding. He didn’t gain anything more than he already had by killing her. Instead he lost a spouse whom he seems to love deeply. In response to the second comment, it is a tragedy that he lost so much of his money too. Doesn’t seem plausible that he would kill her and then spend a fortune on a civil suit against his own son. Unless he honestly believed in his heart he was the only one with means, opportunity, and motive to do it. Although the son was found not guilty criminally that doesn’t say much. So was OJ, and he later came out with a book that basically spelled out the crime start to finish “hypothetically” .. huge eye roll. Who says “looks like she’s been laying here for two hours” on a 911 call? Given the time line that would say he had some knowledge of the crime. How would the average person honestly know the difference? If I stumbled upon my mom shot (God forbid) that’s likely the last thing I’m doing is speculating to dispatch how long she’s been there. That’s the cops job. Unless perhaps I’m trying to frame my dad for the murder.. ? Her purse and jewelry being left, but the shot gun shells being removed along with one of their shotguns also screamed “This is personal”. So, I don’t think it was Bill, or some random stranger off the street. But, that’s just my humble opinion.

They aren’t “caring” for their children. They are investing in their retirement homes, and future caretakers. In the states we don’t expect our kids to wipe our asses when we get older. We try to die early of a preventable disease, or end up in a nursing home and die there. It would be nice to have family WANT to take care of me. This is a rough case, but to be fair, there was literally zero evidence that the Son was guilty outside of fairly shaky circumstantial evidence. @Peratohtori3 жыл бұрын

@Jilli83103 жыл бұрын
It is a strange 911 call. The thing that got my attention was that he mentioned the hole in the fridge. Now, look at where she was laying and where the fridge actually was. Then look at the doorway. Had he walked in, saw his mom, freaked out, immediately called 911, at what point would he be scrutinizing that fridge for bullet holes? Now I am assuming he used his cell to call 911, so unless the phone was right next to the fridge, why would he mention that in the call? In regards to the 2 hour comment, this guy strikes me as someone who is a bit odd, maybe not even too bright, and probably says strange things like that all the time, I think in his trying to cover tracks he was doing what they all do-add more info than is needed in an attempt to alibi himself. Failed miserably at it. Lastly, I'm no perfect expert, I may not investigate homicide, but I am an investigator, and the biggest red flag is motive. It may not be clear as day, but who else would go in there and kill her if it's not robbery? For what reason? Look at the photos, it's staged. He killed her, his family knows it, that prosecutor was terrible too!

Yeah I have never seen a man grieve for his wife like Bill does for Shirley. You can really see the man dying inside without her.

As a descendant of men who emigrated from Killkenny in the 1700s, I'd like say you do do a great job. Also, your pronunciation of turdy tree and tree are always delightful.

This story is just so sad. My heart breaks for that man. To be still so deeply IN love ALL of those years together is remarkable. I hope for his sake that there is an afterlife where they can once again be together..... and I'm an Atheist.

I've been with my wife for 21 years, since I was 18. I wouldn't know what do without her.

That poor man crying for his wife 😢 so sad. What an awful situation to be in to have to fight to have your son to be charged for killing your wife 😢

God i feel so bad for bill. I couldn't imagine not having my girl with me until the end of days for me. My world would lose a lot of color and would never be the same . Hope bill has found peace in his pain . 🙏🏻

I have to say Mike, there are many reasons why your show is dope af!! But one I rarely talk about is the use of music. I’m a musician so I have a strong appreciation for the right kind of emotive-invoking music and you always seem to hit it just right. That one piece you use with the melodic guitar is lovely. Always puts me deeper into the story you’re telling. Well done mate!! 🤟🤟🙏🏻🙏🏻

Couldnt agree more! Its fitting, doesnt overwhelm the story like some examples Ive seen, just complements his narrative.

No matter whose guilty and whose innocent, the very thought of having your whole family turn against you is horrifying.
