Whatever happened to me when it was 1977 and I was eleven years old and listened to the stranglers the very first time and fell in love with them and with punk what last until today and will never leave me. To watch JJ still makes me greedy hanging around with him and have a nice 'n' sleazy time with him. 5 minutes would be worth my little finger.

I was homeless at this time in San Diego and still made it up to the LA gig they did right after or right before this. Punk Rock Bowling, and that LA gig at The Regent, would be the last two gigs the Stranglers played in the US, with Dave Greenfield. They haven't been back since and I doubt they will be. So grateful to have seen them; my life's #1 bucket list wish complete, what a fucking great gig it was.

Dave Greenfield is a huge loss, thoughts immediately goes to all the family, friends, band and every fan who was fortunate enough to witness his keyboard wizardry, a true genius. Gutted to see the 2021 tour of GB cancelled, hopefully try and fly out somewhere for a gig or two. Godblessthemeninblack
