@@stephielulu9096 Yup, the "No Hugh No Stranglers" brigade are quite sad, best ignored. However, with only JJ left from the 1975-1990 era perhaps it's time to just clear up any remaining contracts and let that be that!

Great to see Dave sing one live for a change. I know he sang on the original song but the keyboard wizard needs more recognition than he gets.

Thanks to stranglerism, I showed brilliant at an exam over biology .Not knowing too accurately what all this was about, being questioned about genetix, I merely sang the finale ov this tune (with the Mendel laws, and the correlative proportions ov ..., don't forget Hugh Cornwell is a master in genetic engineering ), and won the party . The examinator seemed just a bit surprised that I did interprate this in a great mass way . Strangler power always triumphs !

you kidding. is it true story? Reminds me of my brother who took excellent score in italian test when he literally quoted word by word the "CCCP fedeli alla linea" manifesto which states "rather than discotheque we prefer mausoleums rather than break dance we prefer the change of the guard etc.etc.". The teacher was so enthusiastic. LOL

Haven’t listened to this in a while and even more poignant with the sad passing of Jet Black. It has to be said Dave was number 1 keyboard player and JJ is number 1 bass player even after all these years. Genetix is such a great song for the stranglers to play live.
