If someone is into Philosophy, they pulled out the Nier:Automata stuff in Shorekeepers quest. This was mindblowing when I saw. Another Greek influence. 🗿 Once you reach Eidoscope where the Shorekeeper sleeps. Those little Ku-bots are named in various *Philosophical study or morals.* 1) *_Ku-Tethics_* - in other words _Ethics_ - moral philosophy. 2) *_Ku-Eros_* - God of Love, lust, deisre and sex. Primordial god and personificationof Love. 3) *_Ku-Tethys_* - a Titaness and wife of Oceans. 4) *_Ku-Logoss_* - this is the first both we encounter and interact with. He's talking to himself about existence. The definiton of this is: _"an argument that appeals to an audience's sense of logic or reason."_ In other words, _"word, discourse, or reason."_ And hearing this OST next to her, was absolutely brilliant! I was blown away of how deep this game is. Literal Nier:Automata stuff. Everything alligns so well with these philosophical values. I can't wait to see more of something like this.

While this is a good theory on Abby's origin, there are a few things stated in the lore that I believe showcase Abby's origin a bit better and that paints a different picture. The first bit of lore comes from the talk with Jue on the mountain, where Jue states that Abby is somewhat similar to it and that Abby was not present in the past when we walked along side Jue. The second part comes from the intro cutscene where we see the goddess pull something from our chest and place it into our hand, where we later learn that, that is where Abby resides meaning that at some point Rover had either devoured Abby or Abby willingly was placed inside us. The third point is that according to legend the Rover had devoured a Threnodian in the past this most likely occurring near the end of our previous journey through the world. From these bits of lore it seems much more likely to me that Abby was the Threnodian that we devoured during our previous journey through the world, and that before our current journey the goddess removed Abby from us and placed it in our hand. Some other tid bits that could be true or false depending on what the future of wuthering waves holds in terms of lore, is that the sentinels appear to embody natural laws while the Threnodians seem to embody the sins or transgressions of humanity, such as Jue embodying the idea of time while Ovarthrax embodies War. If this is true then it would make even more sense that Abby is a Threnodian seeing as everything we have seen from Abby so far seems to have nothing to do with time or fate, but is very reminiscent of the idea of Gluttony. This would also explain Jue stating that Abby was somewhat similar to it. However, this is only a theory and we won't have the true answer until korogames tells us.

The Court of Savantae speak of the divine miracle from the gods. Their aim, funded by the fractsidus, was to create an artificial version of the divine miracle, which is implied as Abby - the frequency of hunger. In addition to retroactive rain and other exploits to achieve a second awakening/artificial resonator. The hunger aspect was an unforeseen aspect, which means it’s a different ‘power’ or ‘miracle’ that Abby displayed which they were trying to replicate. Fears fed the hunger. Abby’s hunger sensation caused her to wake up when the Dreamless displayed fear. Aalto also mentioned towards the end of Act 5 that the person in the beginning reawakened Rover. And we know that they are congenital. Rover’s Resonance is tied to Abby. And if you are talking about the Threnodian from the first resonator archive, it says the Crownless. Which was formerly the most evolved of Ovathrax’s power. Which Jue was present for as well, so it couldn’t have been Abby as the Threnodian. Jue said that Rover’s Tacet mark feels similar, but has never seen Abby before. So this doesn’t mean Abby wasn’t there, Abby’s frequencies may have been there in a different form. Abraxas in a modern novelist approach is as a devourer of the old world and accepter of the new world. The reason abraxas has a vague depiction is because time in the days of Ancient Greece was not the same thing we call time today. So an ancient embodiment of time more about the sun, the stars, the moon. The things that create the seasons and time as we know today.

@@SidneymarZA True, I completely forgot about Act 5 with Aalto because part way through I ended up turning my brain off just to get through it. But, hopefully the story from 2.0 to 3.0 will shed a bit more light on Abby, then again i have a feeling we either won't learn any more about Abby for a while or they throw something brand new into the mix that creates more questions than answers. Though this makes me wonder if Rover could have originally been Abraxas, then due to the Court of Savantae attempting to create a artificial god, could have somehow severed part of that power and authority from Rover and have been transferred to Abby. As this could explain not only Rovers innate ability in the past to devour things on their own but could also explain the connection between Abby and Rover, and could be a possible explanation for Rovers amnesia.

Interesting.Since the term "Abraxas" isn't just shown in Greco-Roman mythology, but as an extremely powerful entity in other mythologies and cultures, the power dynamic is most likely has Abby on the same level as Ananke. A common power shown by Abraxas in a few different mythologies is governing over space-time, we can also assume that Rover's immortality might has something to do with Abby as well.
