As an ex quiet kid I can guarantee that changing this is way more convenient and easier that you could think. For now the only bad side about this, since I became a social butterfly, is that I can't just do something while being alone, this is literally the opposite of how I felt some time ago. shit like "believe in yourself" and "try to talk" are pretty bad as advices, so my first actual tips will be: practice on your humor and change your fit/hairstyle/looking in general, and yeah shit like "be yourself " actually works, but not with all of your traits, first you should hide your true character for a bit and show your best traits, and once you feel confidence in the others, just start to open up. And I guarantee y when you are more popular or likeable, people ignore some stuff about you that might seem weird to the others at first look. And the most important thing: you should maintain a balance between being totally yourself and different form the others and blanding in the mass of people. There should always be a balance.

@donutcoco2998 al r, i am sorry for not replying before, I was busy. I started changing when I was 13, i noticed that my social skills and my social life in general was in a bad situation, so the first step is realizing that you are in a bad situation. But you shouldn't stop there, work on you social skills, its not that difficult, it might sound stupid, but you could just stay in front of a mirror in your room and try to think about some life situations and try to pick up the best replies, like if you were in a videogame. Then the next thing could be find a totally new group of people where you could start from a blank page, it could be a group of people with the same interests, or something else. There just try to show your best traits and become friends with them, don't expect to people to come and do everything for you. Once you did, that friend group will become your new comfort zone, but you are not done yet, now you will had to expand it, by that I mean using your previous experience to do so. It's all a domino game, once you did a thing, the next thing will come automatically.

When I was in primary school, I already knew tons of people from pre school, but though I called them my friends, they weren’t really, because since I am special, they would always try to get a reaction. In year 5 I went to a special needs school for my behaviour, where I knew no one, and though I started as the quiet kid, I quickly became well known. I actually helped that school out so much that it went from a fight a week, to an argument per month. Then I started mainstream high school, in year 8, but we normally start high school year 7. Luckily, people in the support unit were nice, and I knew a few people already. Now I have a GF, and still tons of girls get crushes on me, no cap, and I’m in a mainstream class.

If the teacher or other staff member is told of an abuse case happening at home or other concerning behavior, they are required to report it (or they lose their teaching license). Im a quiet kid and my biggest issue is that I want to get to know more people but I'm just to shy to do so. Like I have to wait for someone else to start the conversation with me. People don't really think I'm weird (at least not that I know of) and are usually nice to me but sometimes I feel like they are too nice. It's kind they think I'm depressed or something. I used to be really insecure about it but I don't really care as much anymore.
