NY is suspending growing weed for profit. Not sure why. All those farmers who grow medical marijuana or weed to sell in dispensaries and have invested in equipment and infrastructure are going to lose their shirts. My son worked for a hemp farmer during harvest. The guy planted mostly weed this year. The funny thing is they're dragging their feet on paying him from last year's harvest. At least he can still grow hemp and sell it.

Also, a lot of your infrastructure projects seem designed to be welfare for big construction companies rather than attempts to build useful things that will make citizens' lives better. And you could probably just cut middlemen like TurboTax out to let you either raise taxes or save your taxpayers money."

I'm a vet myself... there is something not adding up with his disability payment. For a disability of that level ($3,000+/month) that means he has a disability rating of 100%, or near 100%... especially in a low cost of living state like Oklahoma. In other words, he has been deemed by the VA as unable to work or a potential danger be around others. Now, he could have sleep issues (sleep issues is usually around 50% immediately - VA states that sleep affects the entire day) but he's either not telling the entire truth, or he's hiding something. Especially if he was a marine stationed in Japan... a country that we are allied with... ie, he's not getting shot at. I'm not saying he's a s***bag but something doesn't make sense. I know several veterans who are 100% disabled, but they were combat vets with multiple purple heart awards, or had been on multiple deployments to the Middle East (not Japan of all places). Something tells me he is milking the system... as many veterans do after they get out. I'll leave it up to each individual veteran to determine for themselves if they "deserve" a certain disability rating. After that 8 minute mark, I had a hard time really measuring how "bad" his financial situation truly is.

I am a former US Marine combat wounded- 2nd Battalion 6th Marines deployed to Marjah Afghanistan yada yada…his not telling the whole truth on his “disability” he is getting Total Disability Individual Unemployability Benefits for PTSD..meaning he doesn’t rate 100% disability like I have because of my wounds..he has told the VA he cannot work due to his “PTSD” because there is no chance the VA will give him 100% disability on his version of events that caused his PTSD him being robbed in the civilian world has no bearing whatsoever on his rating in the VA. He says it’s lifelong no it isn’t, the second he starts to work the second they take it away since he is now able to work I believe he is lying about how bad his PTSD is..say what you want but he doesn’t rate 100% disability and he doesn’t get that so he told the VA but I can’t work because my PTSD is so bad so they then give him IU and I believe his the type to get a job and still collect IU because who doesnt want a free $3823 a month..he must have a child or a wife since you get an extra couple hundred for that to achieve that amount. Yes, he might have gone through shit but I’m sorry I watched my boys die, my best friends lost limbs, and much worse and they can’t hold a job at all so they get full amount…this clown gets beat up because I bet you he was a piece of shit marine and is now using his little “I got chocked” like a pussy to live on without needing a job..he knows once he gets a job he has to inform the VA he has a job..I know multiple combat vets with PTSD that don’t have 100% rating solely because of PTSD…it’s very hard to get..he probably has a 20-30% rating because he didn’t see combat at all..nothing wrong with him so he again like I said didn’t like the rating he received because if he was 20-30% that’s 350-1000 bucks so this clown tells the VA oh my PTSD is so bad I can’t work but wants to work? Clown

if he gets the 3823 per month, that means he is claiming a dependent. I'm not sure if it's because he has a kid he is claiming, which would still be a different amount, but if it's for some reason his ex wife, he needs to get that fixed because the VA is going to expect all of the difference to be paid back. If he was getting VA disability for just himself, it would be 3621. The amount he is getting just doesn't make sense.

My insurance is 75 dollars for the year and gas is 25 for the month. I only want a car for when its below freezing now and shopping. I don't mind the rain. He ostensibly has no house payment since he charges his parents almost the full mortgage (that’s not right) and he’s driving around in a new truck and a Harley? That sounds like fraud to me. He seems nice but what he’s doing is wrong and he needs to change it. @@erinkerbs6789 sometimes the military is the last option or only option for people. Generally this includes people who have little to no financial knowledge due to their upbringing. It’s sad, but not surprising that many times we find veterans are bad with money.
@erinkerbs6789
@erinkerbs6789 Жыл бұрын
@@challajuzalei6126 I do think that's part of it. My husband went in for this reason, but he wanted to learn to get out of the mess his family was in, not make it worse. On the other side, debtors prey on service members. There are car lots, check cashing places, pawn shops, and more just off every base, and the Star Card and other debts from the BX/PX and others on base. But the military also has classes on finance like from Dave Ramsey and Suze Orman. They also have the TSP for retirement which is one of the cheapest retirement options on the market. Also, healthcare is almost free for them. I think there are a lot of reasons there are so many military members and vets in financial trouble.
@challajuzalei6126
@challajuzalei6126 Жыл бұрын
@@erinkerbs6789 oh, absolutely! I think we agree on a lot here. I’m glad your husband was able to learn and not fall for the traps that many veterans fall for. My dad is a similar way. He grew up poor and the military provided direction for him. He already had a scarcity mindset going in (which your husband likely did as well), so I think that also dictates much of his financial behavior. I think that all I was saying in my comment is that people like my father and your husband had a foundation of at least fear (I don’t want to go back to xyz) that drove them to financial success. Unfortunately, a lot of people that come from that aren’t able to turn it into something positive. As you said, when the debtors come and they are able to provide that feeling of “having something” it’s often time’s irresistible to people like that. They didn’t have anything for so long, so now the idea of having a nice car or whatever the purchase is draws them in.
