What's crazy is Robert Zemeckis said in an interview he brought his own team of artists for Roger Rabbit instead of using Disney's. He had so much creative control even though Disney backed the film financially it doesn't feel like your normal Disney movie. Edit: Also Marcus, I think you should definitely check out “I Come in Peace/Dark Angel” staring the Russian from Rocky IV as the macho cop with a relationship that is falling apart with your cliche sassy girl, and is now teamed up with The Statistic nerd cop who has been pushing pencils to help an Alien Cop take down Alien Drug Dealers, who inject heroin into humans to remove the dopamine with a massive hose, to bring it back to his home planet. A cult classic to say the least!

I've loved this movie ever since it came out. I think it's actually super accurate to the games, just is really creative in its portrayal. But watching this right now just reminded me of something. At 9:00 they're joking about toad getting de-evolved into a Goomba. In the original Mario book, it states the citizens of the mushroom kingdom were turned into all the blocks and plants and crap! Nothing else has ever referenced this fact, but the movie actually hints at how Koopa was able to change the toads. It's like one of the most obscure details about Mario, and the movie has it. It's a masterpiece
