Nigella Lawson is a goddess! I love how she makes comfort food and “trashy” food seem normal and okay to eat sometimes. Love her!
@Juju2012ZA4 жыл бұрын
It's not okay though - especially considering what we know about the origins of "comfort/trashy" food.

@@Juju2012ZA “sometimes” being the OP’s operative word. Everything in moderation is fine. She seems to be doing pretty well on it. She’s just turned 60, and still looks like a goddess. 🖤
@Juju2012ZA4 жыл бұрын
@@221b-Maker-Street It's not only about how someone looks or how fit they are etc. For example, if I constantly buy stuff made in sweat shops, that doesn't affect me but it affects others negatively. That's my point. How does her actions affect the world around her? Badly. The comments "she looks great" etc etc. only focuses on the person whereas this lifestyle affects the entire planet (and not moderately).

@andragonous Good point but consider that "trashy food" and "comfort food" always comprise animal products and by-products. When someone makes comfort food consisting of some potato dish, are they boiling and eating potatoes as is or do they use butter/milk etc. with it? Comfort food always involves animal products and by-products.

To that, add a heaping tablespoon of rich, dark brown sugar and two ounce of Kahlua. let the emulation of butter sugar and Kahlua caramelize. Place your thick slices of strawberries on your plate, pour over the caramelized sauce. Next, dab on a tablespoon of (Sour) Cream, not whipped cream. Then drizzle with chocolate sauce. To end it off, crackle over black pepper over everything, the sweet, sour and pepper is a taste explosion in your mouth.
