David Ruffin has an amazing voice.He was the best of the group. and the Best vocal group of all time. Should been called David Ruffin and the temptations.

@@garymayfield5995without David it would’ve took them longer to get hits, David was the driving force for them. No discredit to Eddie, me personally I wouldn’t have changed the name to David and The Tempts either

@@KashmirKingston Their first hit was "The Way You Do The Things You Do" with Eddie as lead. This was before "My Girl" So you're wrong about it taking longer to get hits. I'm not downplaying David's role at all, but Eddie is just as important. In fact, the Tempts had many replacements for David that all had their own distinct sound. Every Eddie replacement had to sound JUST LIKE Eddie.
