I remember my mother renting this movie in '85, we dubbed the tape and my brother and I literally watched this movie every single day after school and every day during the summer.

So thankful that T1 got a good 4K release -- I missed out on the Steelbook seems to be out of stock now everywhere -- guess we'll see if I cave in for the regular release or wait for the inevitable 'new version' as you mentioned since I've purchased both movies so many times over and over again :)

One thing about the first 2 Terminator movies is we’ve never been short on new packaging lol. I was relieved that this came out as good as it did.

It was a great experience with the new 4k and I agree it had some incredible jaw dropping moments in there.

The Terminator has its flaws, but its still a great movie to watch. I love the plot, love Arnold as the killing machine, and love the suspense when the machine is hunting down our heroes. I also loved hearing the funny story about Lance Henriksen dressed as a terminator to scare I believe an executive who didn't think the idea James Cameron had would work.

I watched it, and it looked amazing in 4k. I noticed the part when Arnold says, "I'll be back," you can see his eyes through the glasses, and the one eye is supposed to be damaged but is fine lol. I wonder if you can notice that in older releases.

It happens a lot with older movies coming to 4k lol. They never could have imagined us watching these at home under these conditions lol. I thought it was a great 4K too. I’m glad this wasn’t a T2 situation.

It looks amazing. I feel it was done justice here. I would like some new features but of course wb ain’t gonna do that. I think the main thing with terminator is it is not a pretty film. It’s dark and grimey. It’s not gonna look but so good. I’m happy with it over all. I’m sure boutique labels could have done better. Wb would never let that happen idt

I agree overall i’m very happy with this realise. The big things were good with the audio and visuals. For a regular WB release there isn’t much to complain about and now we have a great transfer of the terminator

If they use their best packaging it would be about $45 but you would get a second disk, new extras and probably a slightly better transfer. I’m not saying i’m not happy with this release but if you want the best I think Arrow would have been the best option. But it’s only because it’s The Terminator and I would have liked to see that premium treatment.

Schwarzenegger was paid just $75,000 to star in The Terminator. Biehn's salary has never been disclosed but it's widely understood it was less than Arnold was paid. Same thing for Linda Hamilton. But out of their performances we were gifted one of the greatest films of all-time!

Sometimes you get the best out of people when they have to stay within a budget and are forced to get creative. Every decision is almost perfect. There’s some effects that haven’t aged well but it doesn’t take you out of the movie.

That’s a very fair point. I’m not sure how they achieved the image that they did. It looks like an improvement over the 2013 version and the audio is great.

All ofa sudden, everyone in this comment section wants to rag on The Terminator. What flaws? Its incredible for low-budget. As far as Arnolds animatronic head is concerned, it still looks better than Ashs severed head after Ripley disconnects him. No, The Terminator isnt perfect in every way but no movie is. Hoever, The Terminator is the most timeless low budget monster movie you can ask for and Terminator 2 is the most timeless action film ever made. Ironically Aliens is my pick for the greatest sci-fi monster movie ever made

Yeah i’ll never say it’s a flawless film. I’m aware it has some issues but a lot of that you can argue is the budget of the film. I still think it’s incredible and still holds up to this day.
