and Yes Diablo is meant to be dark so yes they need to make the scenes as dark as possible for the right atmospheric affect of the game.

I hoping He uses her to give himself a new physical body. Then resurrects his brothers. Leaks this information to us and just happens to leave the black soul stone. We proceed to capture each of the evils in the stone. Followed by Mephisto taking the stone to become the Prime Evil.

there is no Black Soulstone. Anyone who bothered to play Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls knows that. Malthael broke the stone and absorbed it into himself during his battle against the Nephalem who would slay him before disappearing into history

@@ndcp2379 there was and we did. The plan was to trap Lilith in it but Neyrelle, the woman in the trailer: proposed we instead trap Mephisto inside it. The idea she had being if they took Mephisto away and prevented Lilith getting his power- that would end it all. Unfortunately, that seems to be Mephisto's plan all along and with Lilith's defeat plus a potential new host body- he can wreak havoc on Sanctuary again and thus we're pursuing Neyrelle who has our Soulstone now infused with Mephisto, the Lord of Hatred into Nahatu

The cartoonish animation depicting the angels and demons fighting is from Diablo 3, there was 1 or 2 animations in this style depicting the break of unity and the planting of the seed of mistrust between the Angiris Council Members due to a trap laid by Diablo. I think its actually called "The Eternal Conflict" if I remember correctly. As about the lore, u can find it in games since Diablo 1, there were books while u ventured down the levels telling about the Dark Exile and how it was all planned by the Prime Evils to control Sanctuary, but what happened before the Darkening of Tristam (100s of years prior) can be read in the Sin War novels (a trilogy of books depicting the creation of Sanctuary, the wakening of the Nephilim and ending with a great battle that had Inarius chained in Hell in Mephisto's domain and a "truce" between Angels and Demons). I recommend those books, they are a great read, even though, sometimes the battles can go close to Dragonball Z encounters :)

I really want to get back into the story of the Diablo series but I just can't stand how stupid Neyrelle is. I didn't like a single character from D4 (well maybe Donan but they killed him off in a stupid way). :/

We already got a devil. His name is Diablo (or El Diablo in Spanish). But It might be a little tough to see how much more powerful or dangerous Diablo can become since we (the players) have already beaten him as the Prime Evil with all of Hell's powers combined.
